I can't find this mousse any more. It's the only mousse that my hair loved for humid summers in Florida. It made my hair silky and shiny and no frizz. It enhanced my natural wave pattern and withstood hair being put up and taken down throughout hot summers. And the smell was so salon boutique and lasting. Please don't discontinue the only mousse left that wore in Florida.

I have been using pentene curling mousse for the last 10 years. I have had such good results and received many compliments on my hair. People have always asked me what hair product I used. Today I opened a new can and was completely disappointed at the new product. My hair looks horrible and the curls fell out. I could tell immediately that it was not going to work as it was not heavy enough to hold the curls.

I am so disappointed! I had to go to the store today to buy multiple other products to see if anything with stack up to the old curly mousse. I don't understand why companies are constantly changing products when there was nothing wrong with it to begin with.

Good luck to all my curly haired friends out there who are also suffering.

Why did they change the product?????

I've used the Pantene Soft Curls Shaping Mousse for a few years now and I really liked how it thickened my thinning hair, along with the natural bouncy curls it gave my normally wavy hair. I purchased the same product last month and noticed changes to the can. After using the product the first time, I was so disappointed with the changes. It left my hair flat and didn't want to curl at all. It took twice as long to get it to curl and the curl fell out of my hair after a short time. I purchased a second can hoping that it was just a bad can. To my disappointment, it wasn't. I am now searching for a new product with a different manufacturer. I've only used Pantene products for years, so this is quite upsetting to have to experiment with new products. I've recommended this mousse to friends and family, who have also experienced thinning hair. I now have to tell them that it's no longer the premium product it once was. I am not shouting it from the rooftops on social media, but wanted this review read by the company that whatever improvements were done, should be reversed. ☹

Changes to this product is not an improvement!

I have been faithfully using the curl mousse for 25 years. It provides the most amazing results with frizz free soft, yet defined curls. For the past two months I've been so perplexed as why my curls were falling flat after a few hours of washing my hair, verses the days it would last before….the formula. It's not the same. Please bring back the old. Ive been swearing on it to stylists since I was 15. This is so disappointing.

Bring back the old curl mousse

I used Pantene pro-V curl defining mousse for decades. It was the silver bullet for curly hair! But the new formula (switched in 2022 or thereabouts) is horrible. Please please please, go back to the old formula. If your marketing team spent even a few minutes googling the reaction to this change in formula, you'd realize how many of us hate it. Please listen to your customers and go back to the tried and true!

Those of us with 2b curls need you to bring back the old one that defines and forms a cast on the hair. I can scrunch out the crunch once the cast forms. This soft curls stuff gives a gummy film, leaves my hair straight and allows it to get frizzy and “grow” throughout the day. If I could give zero stars I would. I want your old curl, strong hold mousse. This stuff is terrible!

Bring back the old one!

I have used this product for at least the last 15 years. When I saw the new packaging I thought it was just that, new packaging. Boy, was I in for a disappointment. The new formula is terrible. Why was this done? And have there been enough bad reviews yet to bring back the old formula. I cannot find a good replacement and all I want is my mousse that I used to rave about.

What happened???

Checking in to see if they fixed their mistake. I USED to use Pantene curl defining mousse for 30+ years. When they changed the formula last year I complained numerous times but that was a year ago almost. Since then I've stopped using their shampoo/ conditioner or ANY of their products and will likely never use them again even if they brought back the old formula. All you ladies complaining need to try PAUL MITCHELL SCULPTING FOAM. Even though it's 3x the cost, IT WORKS, maybe even better than Pantene and you dont have to buy numerous products to get the same effect. I'm done with Pantene after being a loyal customer for soooo long. Where is their loyalty? ...... Extremely Disappointed
