I compared it with multiple pens, both regular ink and gel. Of the nine that I tested, this Papermate brand came in 2nd in my preferences

Best pens EVER!

The smoothness and medium line thickness are  the reason why it was selected.  Were the length of the 
 tip longer than it is now, it would get a 5-star score.  The cap gets a little loosens in continuous  writing while it being kept pushed down on paper surface, the writing speed goes down and the comfortability goes down.  My experience tells me that longer tip did not cause this issue.

A good pen with a space for some improvement.

These pens write no better than a $0.99 pen. Not really worth the extra money.

Meh, not what I expected

I purchased a pair of these pens and was looking forward to using them at work (where I do quite a bit of writing. No computers.). These pens skip, drag and ultimately stop writing. I thought perhaps it was a fluke, so I tried another one. Nope, same problem.

Save your money and stick with a regular old pen. These things aren't worth it.
