Sometimes its inconvenient when there is no sharpener around, these work great so there is no inconvenience.  Buy a big pack. Bring 2 with you just in case.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Paper Mate Precise MP 0.5mm is made of top quality plastic. It is very sturdy. It fits perfectly in your hands for easy writing. I love the bubbled finger grips, it feels very comfortable in your fingers. The lead is pretty sturdy to and lasts for a long while, which we all know is a must for mechanical pencils. I love that this comes in a 12 pack which is good for sharing with others. My kids all seem to really love these Paper Mate Precise mechanical pencils.

Excellent pencils!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pencils write so smooth.  I'm so used to lead breaking as soon as my young kids go to use them but not these.  The added bonus is the colors that are vibrant and stand out.  Kids loved them a lot.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used to love having PM mechanical pencils in school as a child, so we got some for my son. They are so smooth and easy to use and refill. He loves them and they actually make his handwriting neater!

Nostalgia!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These do their job just fine. No bells and whistles just a plain mechanical pencil to write with.
Then design is basic but comfortable enough for writing for short periods of time. It rests well in my hand. 
Lead holds well with normal use, don't press to hard to avoid breakage. Each one of them does not come with a lot of sticks so extra lead will be needed. 
Writes smooth without skipping, no smudging either. 
Eraser cleans well, does not leave marks, doesn't tears paper or smears but it is small so it won't last that long. 
Good option if you are looking for affordable mechanical pencils. The overall quality and functionality of this product gives it a good value. I will recommend.

The problem for me comes with erasing. The box says erasing is "clean" but as you can see in my picture, it's still visible. 
But overall the pencils are good and I would recommend them.

They are fine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pencils work like any other mechanical pencil.  My biggest issue was the lead kept breaking. It didn't matter if I wrote softly, hard, or regular speed/pressure it kept breaking. I was very disappointed with that.  I did like the darkness of the pencil and how nice it wrote.  They also came in nice colors.
