While the first season only features two members f the original series' cast (William Peterson and Jorja Fox) as regulars it still revives the original's science-based crime-solving with a minimum of violence and gunplay quite successfully.  I'm hopeful that further seasons will be as satisfying, with many more guest appearances by members of the original series' abundant cast.  The only bad thing is the the season comprises only ten episodes.
