I love this table. It is a nice dark color and is great for storage. It comes up perfect level to use as a tv tray or a desk like area for a laptop if you are sitting on couch. It also does not fall back down.. You can push it down with your finger but it is sturdy enough where its not going to fall.

We bought this table to use in our motor home, and it is the perfect size. it was simple to put together. Just had to bolt on the legs and it was ready! We bought the espresso finish and it is a dark reddish brown-almost black. it goes pretty good with the dark cherry furniture we have. When I ordered it, I thought I might have to paint it to match better, but it looks fine. I did slightly bump a stool into it, and it left a mark on the edge, so you will have to be careful to keep from nicking the finish. The top lifts easily and feels very sturdy. I was afraid that it might tip over easily when the top is raised, but I don't think that will be a problem. Other tables with the raised top were at least $100.00 more, so I feel like this was a good purchase.

GREAT SMALL VERSATILE COFFEE TABLE

The item arrived surprisingly earlier than expected living overseas means you get your items sometimes even a month after you purchase it. But the table arrived in only 5 days! Very impressed. The table is sturdy looks great but quite heavy so you def need a helping hand to carry it around but assembling the table was easier than thought. The instruction says you need at least 2 or more people but I managed to make it on my own. Took a good 10 mins to figure everything out but still totally satisfied! It has plenty of storage under the top can fit xbox controllers and wii accesories and magazines. It looks perfect in the living room with the matching couch. I can only recommend this item.

Cool stuff

I am very happy with this purchase. I am a single lady so not much money, but this product sure fit the bill. I have a small house so this is wonderful to eat off of when I am watching TV or doing paperwork. It is solid, good looking and price is right. I was also impressed by how fast I did receive it and to pick it up in our new store was great!

Lift top coffee table

This coffee table was just what I was looking for. I have a small apartment and space is at a premium. I opted for expedited delivery: the table came exactly when it said it would and was easy to track. It arrived in perfect condition. All I had to do was attach the legs, and everything you need to assemble is right in the box. So far I could not be happier with this piece. Haven't had a problem with too much weight on it, and the mechanism for moving the top up and down moves well no squeaking or jarring movements. The only thing I would say is that whtever material it's made of shows finger prints and other marks very easily. I find myself wiping the top down every evening. That being said, nothing has stained it and I'm overall very pleased with my purchase. I have already recommended it to my friends. Great value for the price.

Just What I Was Looking For

I only wanted an inexpensive functional lift-top coffee table for a small TV room and this fit the bill perfectly. Nothing fancy, yet the lifting mechanism is as good as the more expensive tables. Use coasters! The top scratches easily and condensation from a drink glass quickly causes swelling in the particle board. But you get what you pay for. I may replace the top with some scrap lumber I have one day.

JUST WHAT i WANTED

Cheap is the keyword in this review. This particleboard is cheaply made and pressed. The table is delicate so don't go overboard on laying too many items on top of it. We had ordered one through ShippingPass and it had arrived damaged. People at the warehouse probably toss items around with no care. I took the entire item back to a WalMart store. I chose the one with the least battered-looking box in the furniture section. Once I finished assembling it at home, it seemed to be working good. We've been using this everyday and so far it seems OK...not too sturdy..not too flimsy...just ok. 

NOTE** - (if you're going to swap something at a store - check online to see if that item is in stock, then double-check by CALLING the store [hopefully you can speak to someone competent])

I'd recommend it if you need a cheap solution.

Pro: Assembly was SUPER easy. No assistance required. Just attach the legs and set it up. The height when the top is extended is PERFECT for my couch. Fits perfectly in my small space. 

Con: it was just delivered today and there is a crack in the corner of the top that is VERY noticeable and I'm not sure how long until that piece breaks off. 

I have already reached out to the manufacturer. Will update review if/when I hear anything back.

Great table, if it doesn't arrive flawed/damaged

I have ordered this product TWICE now and although I like the product I have taken it back twice now because on the side of the top it would seem like it was dented and they still put the finish on it and for some unknown reason it still passed inspection.

This table seemed pretty sturdy, but the cheap finish meant it had to go back. The table seemed sturdy enough for the task, but right out of the box the glued on finish was peeling away from one of the legs, there was a hefty dent in another leg and the table's top surface peeled right off with a piece of scotch tape. I can only imagine what would've happened with a glass without a coaster!

Mainstays is a cheap brand, no question about it, but in some instances you can live with that. We have couple of side-tables that work just fine and a TV Stand that's fine too (though had to buy multiples for both due to broken pieces), but for a coffee table which is designed to have drinks and dishes set on it, the finish is way too cheap and the packaging isn't sufficient enough to protect the stuff inside.

My new philosophy with Mainstays products is only use for furniture that won't be 'used' and even then, buy two of the same items immediately and hope between the two you get enough usable pieces to make one unit, then take the other back.

Pretty poor, but like I said in some cases it's worth having poor because it's so cheap.

Very cheap, but not worth it for this table.
