I only recently starting working with this wonderful wool and am sad it is being discontinued.  If you like textural yarn that is not super-bulky but just right-bulky, knits up easily, and is soft and snuggly to the touch, this is the yarn for you!  It is also available in a number of current colourways and so stock up while you can.  That is, if I've left any for you ;)

This is nice yarn to work with.  However when putting my sweater pieces together using the mattress stitch it is necessary to give the yarn a pull to bring the stitches together.  With this yarn it actually pulls apart and so I could only carefully do one stitch at a time rather than do say four or five and then pull the piece together. As a result it took a long time to put a size ten sweater together.  I suggest the mill add 
A single strand of a nylon or acrylic thread to give extra strength and make this job easier.

Strength of the yarn

I love this yarn. It is soft and very easy to work with. I am presently knitting a sweater for my granddaughter in her favourite colour and I am sure she will love it . Sorry this is being discontinued.

Butternut is gorgeous

Made 3 neck warmers with this yarn.  Then I decided to make a vest.  Love the colour and the weight of the yarn.

Patons Alpaca Blend Yarn is lovely, knots up well, and is reasonably priced. Why would you discontinue a yard as nice as this?

This yarn has made several gifts (scarves/ponchos/hats) because it is so dreamy soft, yet durable. Even after a washing it is soft. 
The color options are great for making accessories for every wardrobe style - classic/modern/country.
I read a review regarding knots in the skeins - I have bought 7 different colors with no issues.

Dreamy softness

I have wanted to crochet with Alpaca yarn. The price was down where I could afford it so I tried it with a stocking cap and fingerless gloves for a Christmas gift. It was easy on my hands to use and worked up really nice. It made even stiches and held its shape. Really great yarn!

Alpaca yarn blended with wool

I have only been crocheting for a couple of years and have never purchased alpaca yarn. But I wanted to make a blanket to put in our newly remodeled living room and the acrylic yarn I usually work with, while fantastic for amigurumi, just didn&#x27;t seem appropriate for what I hope will be an heirloom piece. I&#x27;m a quarter of the way into my project and am absolutely thrilled with the softness, the surprising uniformity and rich colors. I smile everytime I look at my blanket. I am so glad I splurged on this yarn!
