Patons' Classic Wool is a wonderful yarn with great stitch definition, does not split and none of the balls I've ever used had knots.  It washes well and is a joy not only to knit with, but also to wear.  Highly recommend it, you won't be disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this yarn a month ago, and I have been using it to knit hats that I have designed. It is soft 100%wool so it is cozier for heads especially bald heads!! 😜

Classic Wool

I have used Patons Classic Worsted in 2 color felting designs. I have tried several yarns and this was the best for evenness of felting and clarity of color.

Felting with Patons Classic Wool

Have made a number of articles with this yarn and find it very easy to work with. Because it is wool, it has some scratchy bits in it but overall it works up beautifully.

It is a nice vibrant red, perfect for hats or scarves or even sweaters. Love that it’s a wool product and soft, not angora soft but not scratchy and great tk knit with

I have purchased several colours of this yarn. I have knit a few sweaters, with more in the future. This yarn is sturdy, and hard-wearing. It is a delight to knit with. I get many compliments on the sweaters I have knit with Patons Classic wool.

Warm and Cozy

I am knitting and felting purses (Nicky Epstein's patterns) and needed feltable wool. This is easy to work with, nicely textured and works nicely with all my bobbins of color.

Love the colors I purchased for a color work hat for my daughter.  It's a little thinner than other size 4's, but is very nice for intarsia knitting. It doesn't split and is easy to knit with.

Nice yarn

I bought 3 skeins of this yarn at Michael’s two weeks ago. I am crocheting beanies with this yarn. It is shedding way too much!  It seems unhealthy to have all these tiny particles shedding just under your nose. So much landed on white notepads I had on my desk as I crocheted while remote working on a conference call. The white notepads allowed me to see how much shedding was occurring and I am quite alarmed.
