Ease Of Assembly

Sturdiness

Build Quality

Can be straightforward, but sometimes tricky due to vague instructions.

Coop

I have purchased 3 different chicken coops from Aosom. I like this one the best because of the low price, the design, and the weatherproof roof. It is small but can comfortably hold 2 big hens or 4 banties, if you let them out a few hours every day to free range. I have recently ordered another one of these coops.

Good Coop for the Price

aosom.com

I have never had chickens before, so this is not an expert review, but I still have an opinion. We bought this house to hold 2 other chickens. The house looks great, it is adorable, and it is a great size for 2 chickens. The nesting box and sleeping area could definitely accommodate more chickens also, but the run seems small for more than 2 if you are not letting the chickens free roam during the day.

Wonderful attractive chicken house

It took quite a bit longer to assemble than 10 minutes but it did go together pretty well. If we did not have it inside a secured chicken coop pen I would be very concerned about the security of my chicken. We have one chicken who has been picked on by the others and bought this to give her a safe place.

Suits our needs

Let me start by saying this little bungalow coop is only suited to 1-2 full size hens or a few chicks that can be out in warm weather before they get too big. In our case, my flock is down to the last girl and this house has fit our needs perfectly. We put pine bedding in it and she is super cozy at night, it¡¯s getting on the chilly side here.
It¡¯s also safe when my son visits with his dog and we can enclose her in it. But she usually just uses for sleeping and is out of it during the day. Although I have noticed she will just hang out in it from time to time.
It is also aesthetically pleasing to look at and the price was right. It took my teen son about 2 hours to assemble and a battery operated drill helps. It might have gone faster but he started the project without the drill and finished it using it.
I am very happy with this purchase. The shipping was incredibly fast and the communication on shipping was top notch.

Small, but my hen and I love!

I had a hard time conceptualizing the size of this coop.? It's pretty much? what you'd expect for the money.? Not the most solid coop I've ever seen, but easy enough to put together in about 45min and solid enough that I feel good leaving a couple birds inside at night, with an electric fence around it.? Would be no problem for a raccoon to get inside if left out unprotected, but works well for a little pair of ducks or chickens when predators are not an issue.

A little smaller than I imagined, but works fine for 2 ducks

GOOD - The design is good. There is plenty of room for 3 or 4 average size chickens or ducks. It went together fairly easily, with only a few tools. The price is very reasonable. NOT AS GOOD - In damp climates, you will need to coat all external wood with a sealer, as the stain was quite water-permiable. If you have any racoons in your area, all of the hardware-cloth screening should be reinforced with fence nails or metal strap, or the predators will tear out the screen, which is held on by flimsy staples, suitable for making picturer frames, maybe, but not for keeping out a smart, small predator with nimble fingers and a taste for chicken and duck.

A Mostly-Good Little Chicken Coop

After searching many different websites trying to find a true Duck Coop, I found this one instead. Although many sites said for chickens, rabbits, ducks and small pets, this one did not have a steep ramp. Have you ever seen a duck walk up or down a steep incline, it's not pretty! The roof took a little longer than I liked when assembling but my son and I did put it together and it looks great. We have 3 ducks this year but I think we could do a 4th one with the space. We have raised ducks for 10 years for our neighborhood lake. The features with the slide out tray for cleaning, the nesting/sleeping room, removable roof and the run are working just as we had hoped. Already looking at making the run larger as the ducks get bigger but it works for now. Beveling the edges of the roof panels for easier installation would help in assembly. Shipping was quick and overall quality is good. Secured the screen with "U" nails as the screen is stapled and could be easily damaged by small predators and our dog .

Pawhut 77" coop kit

The roof is hard to assemble alone, the wuory is not the best, I would not recommend.

You get what you pay for.

walmart.com

I knew this was a coop that survive a bear or a mountain lion or probably any other predator. I was using this inside a very secure coop to separate mama and chicks. This is so wimpy. Probably fine for what I need if I could actually figure out the directions that would be great. Most was easy except for roof assembly. The fact that the screws are way too short and wimpy could be part of the problem. There are no videos to show how to assemble the roof. Between the lame instructions, lack of quality, and frustration. I would not recommend this coop.
