[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am on my 2nd IntelliChlor Generator.  The 1st unit I had stopped working (4 years old) so now I use it as a pass through Dummy Cell core when the water gets to cold to Generate Chorine.    It would have been nicer to get more than 4 years summer time use out of the 1st unit so we will see how long the 2nd unit will last with it only being installed during Summer time use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like how easy the salt cell is to replace what I don't like is they only last about 2 1/5 years before they go out. I also find your warranty requirements stupid. The cells are easy to replace but you only put a one year warranty on the cell if I have my pool guy install it. If I install it my self the warranty is 90 days. I mean how hard is it to unscrew two locking rings, slip in the new cell and plug it in to the box. You need to get real about the warranty.

The Lights blink constantly, which is annoying. Previous versions Kept a solid light unless something needed attention. I hope this one has a 10 year lifespan Like our previous one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently had to replace my IC 20 intellichlor cell that quit working in less than 3 years.  The new intellichlor cell worked fine until the flow sensor failed 5 months after it was installed. I never had a problem with the flow sensor in the intellichlor unit I  replaced.

Worked well...for awhile

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had to replace two units... and I have a small pool (11,000 gallons) with an IC 20.  I only run the chlorine generation at 35% and have only had the pool 5 years. Each time they failed just under warranty expiration period.. Lucky for me! Pentair's honoring of the warranty and the replacement service at no cost is the only reason I've given 2 stars... else it would be 1.  Great customer service... just a poorly designed product.

seems to work ok, had to replace my chlorinator unit 3x in 4 months, wish I could get a maintenance plan on the unit cause with those stats I'm gonna be replacing it again soon this season an I'll probably be looking at any other manufacturer, cause right now I have no confidence in this unit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Life expectancy is rather short.  Parts of the system quit early such as flow switch or salt sensing even with religious maintenance.  Warranty coverage is notoriously short-lived and full of loopholes.

Have a good financial buffer.

This will be the fourth summer that I have used my pool.  The chlorine generator that came with the pool worked one summer and the flow meter had to be replaced the second summer, during the third summer the whole chlorinator had to be replaced due to the same issue.  All the lights were green, none blinking but it was showing 0 ppm for the salt even though, using a meter, the salt lever was 3000ppm.  Now I am starting the fourth summer and I am having the same issue, green lights working, 0ppm showing even though salt level is ok.  I am not a happy customer when it comes to this product.
