These pastels apply smoothly and blend easily for subtle shades, tints, and color mixtures.  These pastels can be diluted with turpentine or mineral spirits for a liquid application or you can brush over you finished project with a wet brush to blend and shade colors. The over all end result was clumpy waxy, and not smooth and seamless like other oil pastels I have used. I liked the colors options. I wouldn't recommend or purchase again.
