I read about this pencil in an art magazine and decided that I wanted to try it to see if it was as good as claimed in the article.  IT IS....maybe better than claimed. It has its own sharpener, a good eraser system and exquisite lead. The pencil is extremely well balanced and as a left handed artist I appreciate that in particular. The lead wears evenly and is difficult to actually break by accident. I am proud to agree that I now own The Perfect Pencil.

Didn't believe the hype so I bought one--

A great design, but this is my third one because I lost my first two. Otherwise, it really is a perfect pencil, with that useful little sharpener in the cap that doubles as a point protector and clip. However, the green color makes it easy to lose, especially in a low-light environment. If you keep meticulous track of your writing tools or use it a pencil that doesn't stray from your desk, it shouldn't be an issue.

Lasts until you lose it

Writing: a nice hard “lead” but not too hard, great for writing and sketching. Works well for adults or kids who happen to press hard while writing or drawing.
Point protector and sharpener are deal makers, never be without a sharp pencil again.

This is the “perfect” pencil especially for those us that prefer a non-mechanical pencil that is perfect for carrying in a shirt or pants pocket. The lead is great for writing and preserving a tip after sharpening. Great product!
