I had invisible fence for past ten years and lightning struck ground and blew system.  Invisible fence brand wanted way too much  to replace with new system and terrible service.   I tried petsafe products on Amazon and horrible.  Their signal was erratic. I had used perimeter batteries for years in my fence so I decided to try this system with my existing wire.  In a word Amazing!  The signal strength is consistent 2 feet for ENTIRE yard from buried wire.  Retrained dog in one walk around yard cause it was almost same as last ten years. The collar is much smaller and lighter than any of the previous collars and soft rubber tips and programmable setting but I went with all defaults and I love my dog and trust this product. It was built with intelligence and I can't say that for others.   It beeps loud enough for dog AND me to hear and she knows to step back.   I am telling you this product is great.
