Easy screw-on process for effortless use.

I've used this feeder for years and it is great.  The latest model has switched from metal chains o plastic ones so I hope they hold up OK.  The standard approximately 2 1/2 inch threads on the jar allows me to buy  the 30 ounce plastic bottles of Welch's grape jelly and  they will just screw on without having to transfer the jelly from one jar to the next.

buy a bottle of jelly. Mix it up in the jar and put the jar on the feeder. I added a wire through the chains so the bottle will not tip. I twist it around the bottle. If you don't the bottle will tip upside down.  The orioles love this feeder. I get robins and huminbirds visiting it too.

Add a wire so the bottle won't flip. excellent.

We absolutely love, love, love our Oriole Jelly Feeder!!  It works great and keeps the oriole's with grape jelly all day long without having to refill it daily.  The really nice thing about this feeder is that it has a big opening to refill it and to clean it.

NOT ONLY DID THE ORIOLE'S EAT FROM IT.THE ROBINS AND HOUSE FINCES DID TOO.I DO NOT USE THE CONTAINER THING ON IY.I JUST PUT  A FEW TABLESPOONS OF GRAPE JELLY  IN THE DISH PART AND WATCH THE BIRDS ENJOY

Perky-Pet Oriole Jelly Wild Bird Feeder

My orioles are very happy with the new feeder.. It's very simple to fill and the gravity feed works very well.  the only downfall is, it's a little pricey for an all plastic item.

Great feeder

Just stir a jar of jelly, screw it onto the feeder and hang.  The birds love it.  And I don't have to worry that they will run out of food while I am away from home.  :)

Easy to use!

Terrific invention!  I left this review under the Oriole nectar feeder by accident.  There does not seem to be a way to correct that once submitted.  Oops. However, this is a great feeder for Orioles.  We seem to have 4 or 5 Orioles using this at this time. With the heat we have been having, the jelly is a bit more fluid and doesn't need to have the crank turned.  We do need to get an ant guard, however. Great feeder, highly recomended!

This is similar I tried to build myself, but I like this better. Large jelly reserve capacity and the bowl surface area is pretty good. The mechanism to stir the jelly and force it out works OK. At a point, even with jelly in the reserve tube, it doesn't push any more out. Also, the knob that you rotate gets sticky. I like the idea of that function but in the end, I just spoon the jelly onto the bowl where the birds can get it. It might be nice to add a perimeter perch for the birds in future versions of this as well. But, I'd buy it again. I can see it as a good starting point for me to make small modifications (like perches).

The hanger is plastic and not durable at all. Feeder flipped upside down a couple of times  so 4 stars might be a bit generous. I bought actual chain and made my own hanger now. My previous feeder was actual chain and never had this problem.

This came to me boxed without the hanging chain. 

If ALL the parts would have been sent with the feeder I would have kept it and tried it out and had more feedback. However without any way to hang it, it's going back to the store and I do not recommend this

Sadly, no.

The chains would slide if there was any wind and the tray would then tip.  Solved that problem and not sure what happened after that, but we found it on the ground the next day with a broken chain.  Have managed to engineer a solution and fix it so we can still use it, but it's not very robust.

Cheaply made.
