This feeder was to replace a plastic one that would get filled with ants. This one has not had one ant in it yet and think it would be hard for them to get in as the bottom fits together to form a seal and then screws onto glass container. I filled it and within minutes there was a Hummingbird. I like to take pictures of the birds and this feeder does not have a lot of things on it that would get in the way.

It's really easy to use just unscrew the glass bottle, fill with liquid and screw the bottom back on. The jar is glass while the bottom is a brushed metal design. Its really easy to clean, I use a bottle brush to clean the inside of the glass ja,r whenever it is needed. I received this feeder for free in exchange for my honest opinion which is what I have given. This is really a great hummingbird feeder.

Great for attracting hummingbirds

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the Starglow Vintage Hummingbird feeder for a couple weeks and really like it. The vintage look and shape is nice. The first day I put it up I had a hummingbird eating from it. It is easy to fill and clean.

I LOVE IT
I have not set it outside yet because the temptress in Northeast is still
on the cooler side for the hummingbirds.
The jar is about 9” long not , including the pewter color
base that the jar screws into
There is a glass top that is part of the glass feeder that has a vintage
mason jar effect that the metal hanger attaches to.

There are metal red flowers , actually 4 of the flowers where the
hummers can feed from.
The bottom of the vintage jar screws into the pewter holder,
which makes it secure.
Since the feeder is not set up with the hummingbird food therefore
I don't know if it is tight enough to keep ants out.

The vintage jar holds 16 oz ( that is 2 cups of liquid )
The jar also has a wide opening for easy filling ( hopefully mess free ).
The label says “ the base also comes apart for easy cleaning.
The feeder should be cleaned with warm water and soap
at least twice a week.
I am not sure how heavy it is but, it is real glass so it is much sturdier 
than the plastic ones and has a little weight to it.

Beautiful hummingbird feeder

My feeder doesn't let the fluid out. The hummers go to it, then fly away without drinking. I stuck a piece of dry grass into a port and it was dry, even though the glass is full of nectar.
