My niece absolutely loved that she got this for Christmas, it came with everything she needed to create the dinosaurs. The product was just as described and was delivered just in time for gifting on Christmas Eve. Definitely would recommend!

Online cost was only $5 and it comes with all the necessary accessories you need tk begin your projects such as the pegboard, tweezers, iron paper, and of course the beads. Best to buy multiple if they are at $5 each!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our family is just getting into Perler beads, and this is the first 3d one we have attempted. First, this is an extremely good deal. It was $5 for over 2000 beads and designs including a large peg board. Second, it looks really cool when finished. My 2 year old loves the stegosaurus.

Good deal for good beads

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids love fusible (fused) beads. We started with buying these 10,000 bead jugs and having the kiddos search the web for design ideas. While this worked good initially and do have use... the problem was that as time went on and more jugs were purchased, we ended up with a lot of beads in weird colors, and a bunch of beads that were slightly different shades of the same color.  And I won't even get into size variations. 

We solved this issue by almost exclusively buying Perler kits and sets now.  While Walmart doesn't sell a ton of the brand, we can still find lots of their products locally. 

For my kids, I got them both of the Smithsonian kits. and they are wonderful. The kits are not too big, not too small, and the 3-dimensional aspects of these kits is really neat.  The instructions made everything very easy for them to get perfect bead placement. It came with the boards needed and even the wax paper for melting. 

In all, they cost a bit more "per bead" than just buying bulk, but with everything that comes in the set, mixed with the simplicity of having a small bag of the correct colored beads makes buying theses an easy choice.

My kids enjoy Perler beads and they had fun with the 3D aspect of the dinosaurs.

Fun activity to do with 6 year old son

With that being said, I now have to admit that this kit was not my fave! Actually, the kit itself (as far as colors included) was not bad ... but the design of the dinosaurs isn't as great as most of their designs! Normally, I'm crazy about the finished product! But these, sadly, not so much!!

It was a total waste of money and ended up in the garbage. Impossible to make adjustments for it to go together. Very poor design of assemble.
