I have had to stop using leads with bull snaps because my hands just can't open the snap.  I love this lead rope because it is so soft and has an easy to use snap.

I bought this about a few weeks ago and it's working really great all the stuff is still together hasn't frayed at all and a great clip on it so overall this product is really great I would buy this again

Just overall amazing

The snap isn't solid brass, it's brass plated.

I like solid brass snaps because they don't rust and get hard to open after a while ... but they're next to impossible to find on regular lead ropes anymore.

Perfectly good lead rope, but

When I 1st received this it was very coiled so whatever you unraveled it it looked really curly but after a few days it straightened out. It is a very light weight lead rope which I'm not a huge fan-I was expecting a heavier and smooth/softer feeling one,  similar to the weaver leads. The brass snaps are very high quality. I am not a huge fan of the color but I did order it!

At first I was not impressed...

I was looking for an affordable lead rope for my new horse and wanted to get it through SmartPak knowing that I'd receive my order in a few days. This was inexpensive and in the color I was looking for so I gave it a shot. While 8' sounds like a lot, I feel like it's too short for a lead rope. I much prefer something that is at least 10'. I also feel like this is a little on the thin side, I wish it was thicker. It will do the job for most cases around the barn, but I have to change to a different lead rope when I want to work on groundwork. I won't return it since it isn't unusable, but I can't say I'd buy another.

The lead itself is perfectly fine, but the hardware is plated brass not solid and rusted after a few months.

I didn't think it was possible to create a terrible lead rope, but I was wrong. I ordered the "burgandy" color and received something that is essentially a gross light purple? The Poly-Nylon also feels really cheap and a lot thinner than most leads you can get from your run-of-the-mill tack shop. Save yourself the shipping and just get one there.

Surprisingly Awful?

This lead line is well made with a nice quality snap. However it is too short and too light-weight for a full-sized horse lead. This lead would be great for a child's pony lead or mini lead. It did not work for me.

Not full horse sized

I purchased this for my new pony in December. We went to a show last weekend and the entire lead  broke. The snap was gone and the rope came through the metal. I was so disappointed because i loved this lead and it didn't even last long. Its the only Navy lead rope I've found thats Poly and Brass with no chain.

Disappointed

This is very disappointing, considering the title of the product specifically says, “Solid Brass Snap.” The poly lead is very thin (more suitable for a pony) and the hardware and snap is nickel that has been spray painted.
