First off I would like to say I'm that shopper doesn't matter online or in-store I will look and and research reviews and prices on probably about 85% of itemes I purchase.   this was an item I did not purchase it was a gift but I was  still curious on how this product was ranked and reviewed. I have had this fountain for about 3 months. After the first week of having it and 2 small dogs and a cat  drinking out of it I was expecting to at least find slime somewhere in the bowl when I cleaned it. It was slime free and no leaks! My pets and myself have been very happy with this fountain! They  used to get filtered water from our refrigerator but not anymore this does a great job.

I bought this right before Christmas for my 3 little buddy's. It works great, no leaks , no problems my dogs seem to drink more water then before because it is always fresh.Great purchase. Would like to know where to purchase filters in my town?

Fresh Flow II fountain

I purchase mine three years ago and my cats loved it! then suddenly it just stopped working  so I purchased another brand, they used it but weren't crazy about it, when that one stopped I looked for a cause and low and behold the little motor needed cleaning the girls loved it again. It worked up until January of this year, I probably could have just replaced the pump but I figured I would just treat my furbabies to a new one. The only problem I have ever had is when it leaked all over the kitchen floor, that could possibly be due to not putting the reservoir back in correctly.

Well worth it

Pros: cats love the fresh water. Convenient for my multiple pet house.  Cons: Had the same problem with two of these units that after awhile the gasket on the water chute breaks, there aren't any extra gaskets provided, the company doesn't sell replacement gaskets and hard to find the right replacement. As others said, if this gasket isn't in place, the product fails and water everywhere. I used teflon tape in place of the gasket when it broke today which seems to work for now. Unit is hard to clean. Some parts with the little nooks and crannies can get gunk build up.  Weekly soak in bleach solution and using brush kit for  thorough cleaning seems to work. (Take gasket off to clean the chute)

Disappointed that this does not actually aerate the water water like our other one.

Pet Mate Fountain

I just got a new kitten a month ago and got this product because it was on the cheap end of pet water fountains.  It worked great for the first couple weeks but then less than a month after buying it I noticed a huge puddle around it.  I though my cat ran into it and spilled some water but then it happened 2 more times and I woke up the next morning to it being completely empty and the pump sucking air with a huge puddle around it.

had this less than 8 weeks and the pump stopped working, will not buy again, will not tell my friends to buy.

PUMP stopped working.

Just set up a new unit out of the box. I can hear the pump from the next room over.  This thing is obnoxious.
