This was a gift for my daughter and upon receiving it, she jumped and informed me that it was her favorite. We have not yet filled up with water due to the fact that the eggs take approximately 5 minutes to hatch. but the whole family is excited to watch.

We bought our grand daughter the Mommy and Baby   toy for a Christmas .  She is 4 years old was ready to play right away. The colors are  light and the fish tank is easy for kids to look into.
The best  part of the play time was when    the  little turtles were born.

Mommy turtle and family

This toy is pretty cool but also gets old fast.  Once the turtles “hatch” from the eggs, nothing else new happens besides the big turtle swimming when it senses water.  The tiny turtles just hatch and are linked together and move in the wake of the big turtle.  The tank seems to be fairly miraculously mildew resistant since it's supposed to hold water and let it stagnate. That's a big plus since we've had ours for 5 months now and it still looks brand new and has been used, reused, accidentally evaporated completely, and there are no adverse effects aside from some easily cleanable water residue stains on the side of the tank. This is a very cool toy that all 3 of my little girls really liked, but is also one of those toys that they lost interest in after about 15 minutes.  That said, because it keeps itself so neat and clean, they consistently want to refill it and play with the turtles again and again, but each session mostly consists of refilling the tank and watching the turtle swim for about 3-4 minutes.  It is a very well-built and mildew resistant toy for what it is!

Repeated fun and mildew resistant

My daughter received this as a Christmas gift. She loved it for the first couple times it was played with, but now the mama turtle won’t swim like normal without having to play around with the batteries. The batteries don’t even sit flat together.

Mama turtle died quickly.

water gets between the bottom of the plastic tank and the plastic sand inside the tank , its very hard to dry . i had to put it outside in the sun .... waste of water , the eggs only harch once and the tank isn't very big for the turtle to swim in so we ended up using them in the bathtub.  wouldn't buy again

I bought it for Christmas because my child wanted it, but as a parent I was a little disappointed because after the pets come “alive” and the eggs open and such there is nothing else for it to  do but sit around and take up space. Definitely a one time big use and maybe just play with it along with other toys now . The Mama turtle does still swim so could be used in the bath. But just kind of a waste for me

Babies hatch and the thrill is gone

Only worked for a few minutes once it was opened.  The little turtles hatched, mama turle swam for a bout 1 min then she didn't swim anymore. Even if I took her out and let her exterior dry. I changed the batteries and the same thing happened. It swam for about 30 secs but only with one arm then quit. Very disappointing christmas gift for my 7 year old.

Wish I didn't buy

Purchased for my daughter for Christmas. The mama turtle stopped swimming within 10 min of putting it in water. Spoke to customer service online and was told to exchange it in store for a new product. When we went to exchange it they would only refund it and would not honor the price we paid for it so my daughter lost a Christmas present. If you want to risk a broken product don’t buy thru Walmart.

Don’t buy from Walmart

The batteries were already dead by the time the gift was opened. One flipper only worked for 5, maybe 10 minutes. Upon inspecting mama turtle, the other flipper was cracked. I bought new batteries for it but the original batteries were corroded after maybe a weeks worth of playtime in the water. Its a cute idea but flawed design. People will make anything just to make a buck. Poor quality, I do not recommend. My son was was so excited about this toy that I didn't even bother reading the reviews. Heed the warnings about this product, they're true.

It was a Christmas gift for my daughter. It didn’t come with instructions but we were able to find instructions. We followed everything it said to do. The mama turtle stopped working after 20 mins. We even tried new batteries but nothing. The babies hatch once and thats it. Don’t waste your money
