I'm taking care of a stray cat that has a bad case of ear mites so she can't be inside the house with my other cat. She really wants to go in the house, and she'll wait at the door meowing and it breaks my heart. I put one of these on her bed in my garage, and she didn't follow me and wait at the door crying. She hates being alone. She laid down and went to bed next to the cat. This made my heart a lot happier knowing she's relaxed listening to the purrs, and it's able to let her sleep.

My cat seemed to just ignore it at first
Then she would sleep within five minutes of it turning on and sitting by her.
She is an only cat so that might be why she craves another cat.
But she took to it so fast.
I got it because she's in heat and I wanted her to calm down.
It works wonderfully.
I think this would be lovely for a new kitten or dog(they make one for puppies)
Also, would probably help a child who just lost a pet or adult!
I got it on a lark. I really didn't think it would work. I thought it was silly.
But I would highly recommend it. It is worth so well for my kitty.
My cat has recently transitioned from being a feral cat.
She was fed every day but lived outside, and my dog, and I would go visit her every day.
We came to love her, and when her owners moved away, and her only shelter, was a garage with rat poison, stray dogs and other wild animals wandering around,
I just couldn't let her live there.

Excellent it really works!

My eldest kitty appears to enjoy the heat %26 purring. Her brother was an orange tabby so I thought it would give her comfort to cuddle with another cat again. Didn't help free up my lap though.

My rescue kitten has not had a mom, dad or any other cats to play with in six months. He loves it and the Purr sounds very real.

New friend for lost kittys

When we introduced our kitty to the new toy, we had activated the purring noise and fixed the heat packet.  It scared our 9 yr old dog and the kitty started biting the toy. We took everything out and put it on the bed. We have had kitty for almost a month.  We found in a group of cats living in a person's garage and kitty was starving. “A feral family” we are just trying to help him get used to being in a loving home. 
I would definitely recommend this toy for a new kitten that has not been traumatized.  We are leaving this stuffed cat alone and seeing if our kitty will want to enjoy this precious toy, as time goes by!! He is so soft and precious looking. I actually used him to help my aching neck. I loved it!!!!

It works. we took in a less than one day old kitten that  had been abandoned and it helps her calm down after feedings

It's a great cuddle you that warms up for my cat! I thought it would vibrate when purring but it just makes the noise, otherwise very cute!

Cute and sweet!

Cute but my cat couldn't care less for it. i bought it to keep my cat warm. i thought it was one of those animals you warm up but instead it has the little bean bag that only warms up a small part of it.n

Poor quality. The screws to the battery box were all stripped. They didn't screw in properly and the batteries didn't stay in place

Hugging kittie

I bought this a few days ago since I seen it was rated pretty high, but those are probably fake reviews because my cat did not care for this thing one bit. The heating pad that goes inside did not stay warm the cat purring and heart beat plays very low and the purring just doesn't even sound like a cats purr it's a waste of money and my cat hasn't touched it since I bought it. I originally got it for my cat who seems to be in heat and I wanted to relax her but this isn't worth it. Save your money.
