Philips Avent SCF358/00 Fast Baby Bottle Warmer is a safe and easy way to make mealtime more comfortable for baby. It gently heats a 5 ounce bottle in as few as 3 minutes. It circulates milk during warming, so unlike a microwave, it won't cause hot spots. The warmer can also be used to defrost frozen breast milk and baby food. It is compatible with all Philips Avent bottles, bottles from most other leading brands, and baby food jars. The Philips Avent Fast Baby Bottle Warmer allows you to set it and forget it! Sensors auto adjust the heating pattern for different milk volumes and starting temperatures, so it hits the right temperature every time with the push of a button. It also keeps milk warmed to the desired temperature for up to 60 minutes. After 60 minutes it automatically shuts off to prevent overheating. The front panel is intuitive and easy to read with clear guidance on setting by milk volume for accurate results. A progress light lights up in three segments, indicating the warming progress and when milk is ready. The warmer is compact so it's easy to store on a kitchen counter or bedside table for nighttime feedings. Always test milk or food temperature before giving to babies. If milk is still cold, you may have selected an incorrect setting, are using a silicone bottle, or filled the bottle warmer with warm water. Select the milk volume setting based on the milk volume, not the bottle size. If you are using a silicone bottle, when the entire progress indicator is on, wait an additional 3-4 minutes for milk to warm. Always fill the bottle warmer with fresh room temperature water. Do not use warm water.

This is the only bottle warmer I have used, so I don't have much to compare it to but I like that you can set the knob according to how many ounces are in the bottle. Also it stays on and warm for one hour.

I have to say, this bottler warmer completely won me over on design alone. It is SO esthetically pleasing - very sleek, smooth to the touch and unassuming on your counter. It's also incredibly lightweight and virtually soundless when on. The cord has the ability to be tucked and wrapped underneath the warmer to limit excess cord (and probably for storage) which I thought was amazing. I hate bulky cords on my counters and this design completely nailed it. In terms of usability, there is a nice click dial and easy to read icons for setting to the exact amount of ounces you're trying to warm. The sensor was pretty easy to interpret when the bottle was ready, though I was disappointed there was no audible alert (in case you were in a different room/trying to multitask). I had the chance to try both bottled milk and frozen breastmilk from storage and was so pleased with both reaching an accurate temperature for my particular 8 month old. I will say it's not the quickest warm, but is is practically soundless (no annoying timer sound). I did not get the chance to test out the food warmer function, but am very intrigued to see what it's like. The instructions were a bit vague on how much water you're supposed to add, but not a big deal overall. Such a neat product that I was so pleased to receive from the Stellar Product Testing Panel and try out. A keeper for sure with a lot of potential for being "more than just a bottle warmer"!

More than just a bottle warmer!

I received this product as part of the the Stellar Product Testing Panel, thank you! I LOVE this warmer. We actually had an older model and this one is fantastic. The timer feature is so nice -- a total game-changer. I love that it warms it to the correct (safe) temperature  for breastmilk and then switches to a "keep warm" mode which prevents overheating. When I did some initial tests I was worried it warmed the milk too much, but upon further experimentation, we found that setting the amount to one ounce less warmed the milk perfectly. I exclusively pump and bottle feed our baby so we use this all the time. It's easy to clean and super easy to use.

Excellent warmer

I never knew bottle warmers existed that have the capability to warm milk pouches and baby food as well as bottles. The instructions seemed overwhelming but the setup is pretty straight forward. You place the bottle, pouch or food container inside first and then fill with water. The settings allow you to select defrost, time based on oz or a food warming option. The cord can be coiled under the warmer so there's not extra cord hanging anywhere as a hazard. The warmer has worked well for bottles. We will soon try heating oatmeal but haven't yet. There's an auto shutoff feature that puts your mind at ease. I love that one appliance can be used for multiple tasks. It doesn't take up much counter space and can easily be put away when not in use. I received this product through the Stella Product Testing Panel.

Oh you fancy huh

Warming babys bottles has never been easier.  I love this "set it and forget it" warmer. We have 3 kids. The baby, of course, and 2 others who are homeschooled given our current state of events. It's a lot. Really. The Avent Fast Bottle Warmer helps ensure that I don't overheat the bottles (precious breastmilk bottles that is). If one of the bigs distracts me and I lose track if time, it's okay because the warmer has shut itself off! The indicator light is another bonus. A quick glance shows me how close to done the bottle is. Right now, anything that makes our lives easier is a huge win! Perfectly warm bottles in a snap!

The bottle warmer is a convenient way to warm milk quickly! My son is mostly breastfed, but I always worried when someone else would have to give him a bottle because he is particular about temperature. Now I don't worry at all. The bottle warmer is very easy to use, I love that there is a progress indicator and that you can choose the amount of milk you are warming up. Takes away all the guess work! It's also nice that it is small and doesn't take up much counter space. I would definitely recommend this to all new parents. Great bottle warmer

The look of the bottle warmer is great. It is very sleek and the light is cool white. I appreciate the auto-off feature because we know how frequently we get distracted as moms. I found that it took a but longer to get the bottle to a temperature my baby likes. I wish the directions were little more thorough for helping with that. I like that it is has keep warm, defrost, and baby food features. It makes it more versatile. The opening is much larger also, to accommodate things such as baby bowls. The “countdown” light is a excellent feature for seeing, at a glance, when your bottle is ready. Thank you to the Stellar Panel for providing this product for me to review.

Fast Bottle Warmer: Great Features

The set up and use of this bottle warmer is so simple and easy and it looks great on my counter. It warms the bottle to the perfect temperature and the time options are so clear based on the ounces in the bottle. I do wish there was a line or something for how much water to use, I kind of had to guess the first few times I used it. The one thing I disliked about it was there was no beep or clear indicator when the bottle was ready the first time I used it. The indicator light turns solid and that wasn't obvious at first especially if you walk away to do something else. I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and will continue to use it.

Sleek and Simple

I liked the look of this bottle warmer right away and don't mind it sitting out on my counter, which is saying quite a bit because I am pretty picky about keeping my kitchen minimal. I liked the dial to select how many ounces you're heating and even the light that incrementally increases around the dial to show progress in warming. The milk I heated got warmer than I wanted it to, though, and for that reason, I'm not thrilled about this product. I could use a lower setting or let the bottle sit out, but both of those seem to defeat the ease of using the bottle warmer in the first place. I was also frustrated that not all brands of bottles work well in the warmer. Some float instead of sitting nicely, and I don't want to spend time figuring that out, either.

Good and bad

I received this warmer from Stellar in exchange for my honest review. I love how it looks. It's sleek and doesn't scream “baby gear!” on my kitchen counter. It was very easy to set up put of the box.

Unlike other warmers, this offers a progress light and automatic shut off. It is virtually silent which is nice. No loud clicking or dinging.

I heated several bottles in this warmer, and I'm disappointed to say that it doesn't adequately heat a bottle containing the number of ounces I set the warmer at. It “takes the chill off,” and that's about it. I ended up turning the knob to 6 ounces to warm a 4 ounce bottle.

Overall, we really like this warmer but have to keep in mind to set the dial higher.
