Offers luxury quality at a premium, but can be steep for some budgets.

Produces rich espresso and coffee drinks.

Features a build that complements home aesthetics.

Made with heavy materials that are easy to clean.

My husband really likes his easy espresso machine to take in hand. Setting the amount of water easy to change

Very good machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works like a charm - even though we still playing with settings to hit that "optimum pressure range". First couple of brews were in that range and neither grind size or grind volume seemed to matter much - but ever since then we're getting lower range of "optimum" no matter what we tried with the settings, cleaning the machine, using spring or boiled water, etc. But this is rather perfectionist's kink, as everything else works just fine - the taste of the espesso or americano is just wow! Price was competitive and delivery was uneventful and fast, no issues there.

Great buy, excellent coffee

walmart.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Phillips Espresso has been great, the double wall cups eventually can get plugged it seems. But I cleaned them out with my air compressor. After that the machine continued to work flawlessly. Replacement cups and parts can be found here : https://philips.encompass.com/model/SAEPSA3218%7C01 (this is oem supplier parts website). I joined the Atlas Coffee Club and different beans from across the world are difficult to brew with but a fun and tasty adventure with this espresso machine. It feels premium and professional while still being consumer grade. / Fedex did replace the box though which was strange. It had a fedex message on it but that was probably a one off

I had been searching for an automatic or semi automatic espresso machine for a while. I was tempted to pay the $600-$700 for the Breville but stumbled upon this one when researching. I’m so glad I went with this machine. It’s not too big, it looks sleek, it’s semi-automatic and I’m getting the hang of using it. I’m obsessed!!

First timer!

The philips PSA3218 semi automatic espresso machine an amazing machine, it looks fantastic in the kitchen, a real centre piece, well built good quality build, itis easy to assemble out of the box with good instructions, it is my first time with a maxhine like this and after a few test drinks and learning the techniques, ie tamping, bean grind size, makjng sure your pressure is right, ,cup size itsa marvelius machine and drinks i have made with it are very nice and tasty, the milk frother works well to, the ability to cusotmise your cup size, bean grind size is very useful, , i have a few more drinks to make and try with this machine yet but my imoressions so far a very good.

Excellent quality machine , amazing drinks,

Philips Home Appliances

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a truly beautiful little machine with a sleek and sturdy design. While it takes some time to understand its functionality, the provided information makes me feel confident about using it. What I love most is how easy it is to clean with all the included kits. The built-in grinder is a fantastic bonus. Now, I look forward to brewing a nice cup of coffee every morning. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves having coffee at home, anytime.

Absolutely beautiful

I have been testing the Philips Barista Brew semi-automatic espresso machine, and overall, it's an interesting option for anyone who wants to enjoy café-style coffee at home. The machine offers a hands-on coffee-making experience, with a built-in grinder, dual bean hopper and steam wand, giving you more control over how your coffee is prepared.

One feature I particularly wanted to explore was the dual bean hopper, as having the option to switch between different beans is useful if you enjoy both regular and decaffeinated coffee. The adjustable grinder also provides flexibility when experimenting with different beans and espresso strengths.

The milk-frothing system is another important feature, especially for making cappuccinos and lattes. The temperature indicator on the milk jug and the steam wand are designed to help achieve the right milk texture, although getting consistent microfoam and latte art can take practice.

The machine also offers a more involved brewing process than a fully automatic coffee machine, including tamping and adjusting grind settings. This provides greater control but requires some time to learn. Cleaning the grinder area, portafilter and milk system is also an important part of everyday use.

Overall, the Philips Barista Brew has features that make it appealing to home coffee enthusiasts who want to experiment with espresso and milk-based drinks. My final assessment would depend on the consistency of the espresso, the accuracy of the temperature and pressure indicators, the noise level and how easy the machine is to maintain with regular use.

Philipa Barista Brew

First bean to cup machine I have purchased. Had it since August 2025. Took months to get it to work as I wanted. If you change the beans it takes an age to get the correct grind, sometimes it appears to have ground less then more. You can only steam or brew individually, you can't do both, overall it's a decent machine for the price. However when I change it which will be next year I will got for a fully automatic machine.

Decent entry machine

Versuni

This was my first machine and I loved how it came with all the accessories. I wanted to love this machine but I was never able to get consistent optimal pressure (maybe 1 / 5) times. The issue with the machine is that it's over extracting, I ended up returning it and getting the 3228 and it's working great so far. From what I read online this is a known issue.

needs some work

philips.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Will not suck water into the system even after hours of trouble shooting.
