This version is the best I have experienced (not that the prior versions were bad).  Very pleased with the performance and quality of shave.  Nice having trimmer back intergated with the shaver.   Have not used the new cleaning capability yet looking forward to testing that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great shaver and the cleaning module is very useful.   The main thing to remember when using this, is to go lightly on the pressure.  It may be counter intuitive but pressing too hard results in a bad result.

A great shaver when used correctly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You need to use a blade razor follow up to cut the small hair left. I wonder if the prestige Nerelco shaver would do a better job for double the price. I don't understand the oil and cleaning packs that came with the 6000 series. The individual blade removal and cleaning is appreciated changes from doing all three at the same time. The cleaning brush should be more stiff. Multiple brushes would be appreciated at least two. I tried clipper oil on my own but found that it causes  cut hair to clump and need to be cleaned. I wish directions for use of clipper oil  existed. My barber uses a drop of oil after every use of the clippers

How to maintain your shaver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This razor is the most comfortable electric razor I have ever owned. No pinching or nipping. But I would prefer that it shaved closer. If I shave before 8 AM, by 1 PM I look like I need to shave again.

Closer shave would be desirable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't used an electric razor in many years, but decided to try it again as I am getting older and shaving is more difficult.  The razor glides well over my face and does it's job.  However, the shave is not as close as a blade.

I have owned this type of razor for 60 years and none have ever been this noisy.  Also do not like the fact that they went to a USB charger and only supplied a cord.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using an electric razor that was a 7000 series razor. It died and I went with this current because of the cost. Cut is still good howeve, it is not as smooth across my face as the 7000 series razor. I thought it would get better but it has not. Cut is still good but does not glide across my face as smoothly as the 7000 series razor.

The smoothness across my face is disappointing.

Negatives: 
on/off button is too big, so that the off button is hard to avoid while shaving.
Shave is not as close as my previous Philips shaver
Shaver heads pivot in one direction only (previous shaver's heads followed the facial contours better.
In order to trim you have to remove the shaving heads first.
The travel container holds the basic shaver only; no place for the trimmer and the charging cord.

It doesnt shave any closer, only thing the 6000 has over the 4200 is the two speed capability. I think i should've went back to the 4200, or by passed the 6000 and gone to the 9000. Oh well live and learn. maybe next time i'll purchase a different brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely the worst shaver I have ever bought, the blades were dull straight out of the box which is why I was buying a new shaver. My last shaver i bought 7 years ago (which the blades are still sharper) and blades are no longer available because Phillips  changes the models so frequently so that you have to buy new shavers instead of replacement blades. I've had to switch to using just a straight blade razor cheaper and can always get replacement blades. Would not recommend to anyone unless your just trying to throw money away
