It's my third or fourth razor. I change every 10 years. I am very impressed with the evolution of the product. It is stable, lighter, rinses easily, almost without noise and very effective on the beard of a day as of three days. The battery charge easily lasts 2 to 3 weeks. I highly recommend it.

Excellent shaving

The Phillips 5000 series, wet and dry shaver gives a very close shave indeed, 
probably 97% as close as a razor. It is very comfortable too hold and has a 
sideburn trimmer built in, so no taking the head off to fit it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Norelco was OLD…really old. I hadn't replaced the blades in three years, so, needless to say, I wasn't getting good shaves. This new razor fantastic. Effortless close, comfortable shaves. It's great.

Close, smooth, comfortable

I have always wet shaved with a Gillette razor. I saw a Phillips 9000 electric shaver and decided to but it.
I have had it now for a few weeks and love it. Although it can be used wet or dry I prefer to use it dry, just my personal choice.
Shortly after using it I clumsily dropped it and it was in pieces😩. I found to my delight that it's ingenious design is such that it easily put back together with no damage.
I am happy to highly recommend this product.

Phillips 9000 Shaver great product

Really easy to use & clean. It has a nice, sure-grip feel while shaving. Gives me a really smooth comfortable shave, every time. Recharging is simple with the USB connection cable & the battery lasts ages (over a month) between recharges, despite daily use. I've just returned from holidaying abroad & the lock button worked perfectly well. There's a protective cap too. The shaver, brush, cap & cable fit easily into the drawstring bag provided ~ once filled, I stowed the bag inside a shoe in my hold baggage & had no concerns about the shaver accidentally starting during baggage handling!

Great value for money & a really good shave!

I've had a variety of Philips shavers over the years, but this model is the best one yet! It gives a great close shave and has the features I was looking for. If you want something that holds a charge for a long period of time, with basic features and a great shave, then I recommend purchasing this model.

Better than expected!

The Philips Shaver Series 5000 offers a comfortable shave with flexible heads and works wet or dry, making it versatile for daily use. Its battery lasts about 50 minutes, and it's priced reasonably for a mid-range shaver. Some users may need a few passes for an extra-close shave, and the blades and build aren't as premium as higher-end models, but overall it's a reliable and convenient choice.

Comfortable

Very pleased with the shaver.  Gives a good close shave, the motor is quiet in use and lasts a good time between charges.  Much better than foil based shavers that I've used in the past.  Only real problem is the size of the surround to the actual cutting heads is quite large, making it difficult to shave awkward areas like under the nose.  The gliding properties of the head over the skin could also be improved a little. Other than that, I'm very satisfied with the shaver.  An excellent buy.

Excellent product that works well in use.

After many years with wet shave razor blades and a few small nicks that bled a while etc I was gifted the shaver and I have persisted with it for some weeks.  It seems to take me a long time say 5 -7 mins to get the daily stubble to be reduced to the  smooth face I am used to.   I am persisting. There was  an issue with charging from a wall socket with usb outlets so I now have the 2 v 5 amp 3 pin  outlet via a UK plug in unit. 
I am 77 and will keep trying to avoid the cuts.

Be adaptable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shaver itself is wonderful, but whomever thought that Philips could get away without supplying a charge and a simple case had their head completely up their backside.  It's like supplying a car without a battery, and because of this I will never buy another Phillips product again.

No charger and no case.  Buy a different shaver

Not very precise. Cause neck rash for me too. Not as good as the Braun electric 3000 series shaver I swapped this for. Also feels cheap but considerably expensive.

Avoid this shaver.
