Put the pot of water on to boil, fill everything to the lines indicated in the cups and run the program. The flour starts mixing, you add the liquid slowly and in the time it takes for the water to boil, you have homemade pasta. Can't beat that! Cleanup is easy as long as you wipe everything down right away with a dry cloth, before washing. We use it so often, it seldom leaves the counter. It was missing it's recipe book (still waiting for it to arrive via mail), but the company supplied us with a pdf right away and with it, it's pretty easy to make perfect pasta every time. We've tried almost all of the attachments, with lasagna being the only one we haven't tried yet. Again... worth every penny if you're a pasta eater.

Homemade Pasta in the time it takes to boil water!

I received this as a Christmas gift and have used it multiple times to make fresh pasta. The directions are easy to read and follow. Clean up is a breeze and there is nothing like fresh made pasta. Total prep to fresh and ready pasta is only about 20 minutes. I would definitely recommend this product.

This is by far the easiest to use pasta maker I have ever seen.

The pasta maker was a Christmas gift from friends and I was unsure if it would live up to it's claim. When I first tried it out I was not impressed, however on my second attempt it worked out perfectly and I realized that on my first attempt I had not properly followed the instructions provided. I have make more pasta since and I find it easy and quick to use. The key to the success of the pasta maker is to follow the instructions accurately and use a scale rather than a cup as a measurement guide. I love my pasta maker so much I plan to give both my daughters-in-law one for their birthdays.

Phillips Pasta Maker

After years of making pasta on the counter by hand, wow, what an awesome machine. Add the flour, turn on machine pour liquid through the lid and within a few minutes your pasta is extruding from the front. Cut to desired lengths as needed. Cook and enjoy. Clean up was a breeze, washing only a few pieces before storing the machine for future use.

Easy Homemade Pasta

This product is probably the easiest to use pasta maker ever built. If I had to change one thing, though, it would be allowing the user to determine when the machine stops mixing/kneading and goes into extrusion mode. The mixing time is very short and, in my opinion, does not give you enough time to determine whether the dough is too wet or dry. Obviously, if too wet, it would be difficult to add flour, but twice out of two times I wish I had been able to add another teaspoon or two of water in order to make the dough a bit more pliable and more easily extruded. All in all, though, we will be making and eating more pasta now that we have a machine that is both easy to use and easy to clean.

Pretty good, overall

As a pasta addict, I often look for ways to improve my overall pasta experience. My wife gifted me the Philips pasta maker, along with two optional pasta discs, for my b'day and we tried it out the very next day. The Fettuccini pasta we made during our 1st session turned out just OK using all-purpose white flour, but seemed to be a little thick. Our second attempt was with an Angel Hair shaping disc using a 50/50 mix of white & whole wheat flour. YUMMY!!! Next, we tried a Pappardelle shaping disc, and the pasta again came out a little too thick & took forever to cook. On to the LaSagne disc... used it to make Ravioli. And again, there was a thickness problem. Two possible solutions that I see are in adding about 10% more fluid to the mixing chamber, and allowing the mixture to rest (as is the norm with hand-made pasta) before beginning the extrusion process.

This product is easy to use and clean-up is a relative joy compared to other pasta machines that I have used.

This product has great potential looking forward to trying the different types of shapes and styles of pasta and my own experiments within the guidelines of the product of course hope it lasts and hope to use it for years to come.

Surprisingly pleased

We bought used one, and it works just like new so far. Only thing I like to recommend is to include a thick noodle template (the disc) because we love thicker noodles!

Innovative!

I am disappointed in my pasta machine. It’s now 6 times that I use it, I followed the recipe of the booklet coming with the machine and it was not eatable. I tried other recipes and it's not better. In addition, each time there is a lot of mixture / paste inside the machine, it is mess.

Disappointment

This has worked well with unflavored pasta made without eggs. But it has never worked when I have tried to make flavored pasta with eggs. I have followed directions and watched the video but still, the flour and liquid congeal inside the machine and nothing comes out. I'm going to the Williams Sonoma store and ask for a demonstration. I'd rather not return it but I will if I can't make flavored pasta.
