The blades aren't quite as premium as the previous ones, but they are quite good. It is an excellent replacement for my 8150XL.

 I went to Walmart and purchased one. Excellent shaver. No complains at all.  One of the best quality shavers. Cannot be wrong to have one.

I've tried other electric razors in the past, but none compared to a razor blade shaver.  Then my brother-in-law gave me the S3341/92 wet & dry electric shaver for my birthday.  I am a convert!  I have been using it every day since then and am very impressed with the closeness and comfort of this electric shaver.  I can't think of any reason to go back to a razor blade.

It's a really good shaver, I purchased it to replace my very old Philips PT920 shaver. Having used the Philips for years it was an easy decision to purchase another Philips. I would say that my older shaver seems to be better made, the on/off switch is a much better design and all round just feels better quality, ( maybe its a sign of the times). I would still highly recommend the Philips 3000 s3242/12 as its a really good shaver.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have been using a Philips electric shaver, battery powered, forever. 30+ years.  My most recent one was a model 9160XL, but the power switch failed and it is not readily replaceable.  So my new Philips S3243 cordless Philips is great for two things -- it is very light weight and the battery lasts seemingly for weeks on end. Also like that it uses a USB charging cord, so there are lots of ways to charge the shaver. However, the cut is just so-so. And that's what a shaver is for, right? It is definitely not as close a shave as my old beloved shaver. If going out for an evening event, a quick shave is needed in the late afternoon. And when shaving the daily stubble, it sounds like a weedwhacker. The old is better than the new. But it will do.

The product is Satisfactory -- but just barely

It works but not strong enough for someone with thicker facial hair.  My brother struggles with it.  Even though Phillips is a trusted brand and 1 he has used for many years.  Will probably be upgrading real soon.
