[This review was received in response to an offer.] For this test, I will propose to you to resume the points put forward by Philips. "Eliminates up to 10 times more plaque* for deep cleaning" So I can't tell you if it eliminates 10 times more than a manual brush, but what's sure is that the difference is obvious after a week of use! Small aside. The first time you use the brush, you will be surprised! I’ve been using an electric brush for years, but now it’s another world. The first time you start it, you will feel like you are at the dentist doing a scaling:) Indeed, the brush head is hard and the movements are different from those of a conventional electric brush (Speed: Up to 31,000 movements per minute). As proof, there is even a function to get used to the brush over 14 days (Easy-start function). "The Easy-start function gradually increases the power during the first 14 brushings to allow you to get used to the Philips Sonicare. The Easy-start function works in all modes except TongueCare+. The Easy-start feature is turned off by default on the Philips Sonicare toothbrush." For my part, I do not use this function to test the toothbrush as quickly as possible. The different brush heads are identifiable thanks to the colors of the head. 1 Premium Defense Brush Head (blue head) 2 Premium Gum Care Brush Head (purple head) 3 Premium White Brush Head (green head) 4 Tongue Care+ Brush Head (some models only - tongue cleaning tool) Personally I used the "Premium Defense Plate" head for a week. My wife told me that my teeth were whiter. Which makes me want to test the "Premium White" head:) Application: The application allows to buy brushes directly, but I find it a shame that they do not limit the choice to brushes compatible with the current device. I see 20 different brushes. Not all of them are compatible. Brushing: The app shows in real time the cleaning of your mouth. Brushing is represented using an inner or outer white line of teeth on a mouth image. Too bad that it is not possible to continue brushing after the end of time to finish the poorly brushed parts. "Take better care of problem areas Your dentist may have told you about problem areas? We’ll highlight them on the app’s 3D dental card, and we’ll remind you to pay more attention to them.” In this part, you will be able to inform problematic areas of your mouth. After setting up this part, the app will ask you to focus on these areas when brushing. Here, part of the translation has passed to the ace... Plaque buildup tartar plate area bleeding area Recession gingival recession Caries caries lol Version "Tableau" "You may not be aware of brushing your teeth too hard, but fortunately, your DiamondClean Smart wakes up. In case of excessive pressure, the light ring at the end of the handle flashes to remind you to press less and let the brush head do the work. 7 out of 10 people found that this function helped them brush their teeth better.” Damn it! I didn't think you had to rub so little, it's impressive. I’ve been pressing too hard since I’ve been using electric brushes:) So if you rub too hard, a purple light on the bottom of the handle and a vibration will remind you to order. "Less strong soldier! “Chef, yes, sir!” “Let the electric toothbrush do the work. We’ve integrated a motion sensor into the handle that reminds you to scrub less. It allows you to improve your technique, for a smoother and more efficient brushing." This part serves to remind you to do less fast movement. You want to go too fast, it's missed the smart sleeve will remind you that there is no point in running, you have to leave at point:) To sum up, if you press too hard or too fast, you will be arguing! "Do you have any questions about the mode and intensity to use? That time is over. A chip placed in your brush head communicates its characteristics to your DiamondClean Smart. For example, if you clip a Gum Care brush head, your toothbrush will select the most suitable mode and intensity to provide you with gentle and effective gum care. You just have to press the on/off button." Well, nothing to say about this, a smart handle, the user does not have to think anymore:) "The brush heads wear out over time and then eliminate dental plaque less effectively. With intelligent brush head recognition, you’ll always know when to replace your brush head. "That's convenient. After a week of use, it still marks me 165 remaining sessions. This figure is revised upwards or downwards depending on the force of the brushing you exercise. Two days later, he told me that I still have 178 brushes left. A brushing a day (sorry I'm not a model student) it's been a little more than 5 months. Travel box. The box allows to store the toothbrush + 2 brushes. Glass and charger are not mandatory for small trips because the autonomy of 2 weeks is not a lie, after a week I am still 3/4 of the battery. “It’s never been easier to recharge your toothbrush. Simply place your toothbrush in the stylish glass when you’re done brushing your teeth, and its refill will begin immediately. » Indeed, charging is done by induction (i.e. without connection, just by contact). The base under the glass is connected to the mains. By putting the brush in the glass, it recharges automatically. On the other hand, for the battery life, I would advise you not to let the charging base connect. A refill from time to time sera much more beneficial to your brush. The BrushPacer function is an interval timer that emits a brief sound signal and suspends the cycle to remind you to brush the different parts of your mouth. BrushPacer signals are emitted at different intervals during the brushing cycle, depending on the selected mode (see 'Brushing modes'). Convenient, especially when the toothbrush is not connected (and yes, you can use it without Bluetooth:)). These signals are not sound signals, but vibrations Conclusion After this test and the results obtained (woman, colleagues, friends told me that I had whiter teeth), I am less skeptical about the usefulness of a brush at this price. It's really not for Mr. and Mrs. everybody's purse. It's not an extra Christmas present, and even less so for Valentine's Day ("honey, you'll have better breath and whiter teeth" -> I'm not an expert, but it's a bad idea in my opinion). But if you have the means to put money into a product like this, go for it! As I said above, the first uses are not necessarily very pleasant, but now that I have tested this brush 2 weeks, I find the electric toothbrush bland, without power. The app is a real plus for tracking forgotten areas, the rest of the app is gadget for me. Wireless charging is a plus, but there should be a feature to only charge the brush when it reaches 15-20% battery. In a word, go ahead.)

Very good product

philips.com

This is the only brush that makes my teeth look and feel clean. In addition, my teeth are much whiter since I started using it four months ago. My sister and brother-in-law got it for my birthday as they knew I had been searching for the perfect toothbrush. They both use one daily and love it too! Now I even travel with it as I was gone for a week traveling without it, and I could not get my teeth to feel clean. I couldn't wait to get home to my Philips DiamondClean Smart! Since then I have traveled with it twice, last thing to pack and first thing to unpack. It travels well in the case that comes with it! Thanks for this fine, dependable product.

Best toothbrush ever!

I have been using diamond clean for years and I credit my excellent oral care to it. I really don't use the coaching because I don't need to but what a great idea for those who do. This pink one matches my bathroom and makes me happy. My teeth just sparkle and contain zero plaque. Thank you Phillips for taking such good care of my teeth. This is the wisest investment one can make to ones general appearance and well being. Years ago I had dental assistants match crowns to the color of my teeth. I wish I would have requested whiter crowns. There is no better proof than that, PHILLIPS rocks.

pretty in pink

I am very pleased with the performance of the toothbrush.
My teeth feel very clean are brushing with this toothbrush.

My only complaint is that after purchasing this brush, I feel that a tongue brush should have come with this model. I know some models have it.

Diamond Clean Smart Electric Toothbrush

I like the DiamondClean Smart electric toothbrush. My teeth feel so much cleaner than any other tooth brush I've ever used. I also like the program from Phillips that I downloaded to my smart phone. The only thing I'm very dissatisfied with is the special toothbrushes that came with the toothbrush. 2 of the 3 brushes didn't' last 2 weeks. Several of the individual bristles actually came unglued and fell out in my mouth while brushing (according to the results of my brushing per the downloaded Phillips sonicate program, I'm brushing correctly). I ended up throwing the 2 brushes away due to several other bristles were loose and ready to fall out. I'm using the 3rd brush now and it seems to be holding after a week.

My teeth feel so clean.

I've been pleased with the toothbrush and its many features. However, I am confused about when to replace the brush head. The very brief brochure describing the features only mentions that an icon will appear when it's time to replace the brush head. There's no mention of what the icon looks like. My brush head is getting worn but I haven't seen any icon other than the "Clean" light flashes when I finish brushing, but I don't know if that's the one telling me to change the brush head. Also the battery light goes on and off when it's time to charge, but again that isn't mentioned in the brochure, so I just figured it out intuitively.

Very good toothbrush but sketchy documentation

I had a diamondclean for a couple of months that stopped working properlt adter a drop in the sink. I dis not register it for warantee protection and was a little disappintef that it was so succeptible yo famage by such a little mishap
Nevertheless, i liked how it cleaned and bought another
I find the iphone stnc business to be nothing more than a silly gimmick, and find your repeated prompts to synch my brushjead on the phone to be annoying
Also, i liked the old brush's four X 30 second timing prompt cycle
The new one seems to have six or more 20 second prompts
It seems to be irregular, and one stopwatch experiment the cycles lasted for over 2.5 minutes. That is too long, and the multiple changes are a distraction. I find myself losing track and wondering, was that 4 or 5? Then shutting it down. 4 cycles - and two minutes seened easier to deal with and 2-minutes seemed plenty
If there is a way to change this, let me kno

Cycle duration too long long

I loved my sonicare toothbrushes over the years, but when it died, which all of mine have in about 2 years, I got the new one. I want to go back to the old one. Who cares if it flashes on the bottom and I could care less if there's an app, I just want my teeth to be and feel clean, and I think the diamond version I had before all the flashing was better. My teeth felt cleaner.

Don't like the newer version

Save yourself the extra money, unless you really think that you need to hook your phone up to your toothbrush. Overpriced, overteched product. Have been a fan of Sonicare for over 20 years. but this is not necessary. I have never synced it with the app and never finish the extra long cycle.

An App for your Phone?

The product is easy to use. It performs well, just like all of your other Toothbrushes. For me, just give me, a regular electric toothbrush. I don't need all the Bells, and Whistles. (Aka The Bluetooth Technology) Keep it Simple. Concentrate on Longevity of product. Which has been Lacking, at Least with The DiamondClean Series. Most Customers, Like myself; are Looking for a Rock Solid, Product. And Not Impressed, with unnecessary, worthless, added Features. To be honest, I am using This New DiamondClean Toothbrush, like an Old Model DiamondClean. In The Manual setting. I have extra Brush Heads, that I either purchased, or received at Christmas. That were for The Last Model Series. After that
If the Old Brush Heads, become unavailable, I will be doing research on Purchasing a New Toothbrush; On All different, Manufacturers; and models.
