Works very well. I have just used this item twice so far, so I can't rate reliability or durability, but from previous experience with pill cutters, they work very well until the blade gets dull. Then it's time to replace. My previous pill cutters lasted a surprisingly long time, and this one probably will, too.

Great Price for a Nice Pill Cutter

Previously had this style pill splitter. Then I purchased a slightly "fancier" one that didn't't split the pills evenly,with much having to be thrown out. I was looking for this style pill splitter, being excited when I found it and at such a great price. It does its job,easily and quickly.

Good product

Love this Apex pill cutter. I use a pill cutter several times a week so it's important that I have one that works and I don't want to pay a fortune for one. I previously used the Apex pill cutter with the covered cutting blade but I like this one with the double-beveled blade better. It holds the pill in place well, cuts pills that are scored very well (scored = the little line down the pill to aid in splitting) and cuts un-scored pills pretty well. While I wished it cut un-scored pills better, that's not the fault of this pill cutter. Cutting un-scored pills is just a pain in the butt.

Great pill cutter

Well made and very sturdy eliminating much of the "play" when using. Most useful feature is the symmetry line that helps to ensure the pill is positioned directly in the middle before splitting.  Another great feature involves the design of the "V" that is not affixed to the casing allowing it to expand slightly where the pill is placed. Blade appears to be sturdy and effective. Hopefully it will remain sharp longer than others I've tried.

Best I've used

I am so glad I found this pill cutter!!   I take a prescription medication dose that  requires the pill to be halved and after ruining several pills using a sharp knife I had to find a better option.  This Pill cutter work great.  No more guessing if I gathered enough broken pill bits to take the right dose.  Spend the money and buy this pill cutter it is definitely worth it.

Works great for splitting some small soft, unscored pills that I have. It is nice to be able to see through the splitter to make sure it is cutting in the right spot. I got the color blue

I received this pill cutter and it was not as described. It was not see through as this is what I wanted to make sure the pills do not shift while cutting them. I will be taking back.
