It comes wrapped inside the box, super easy to use! Just take out keep wrap on & put in fireplace on a fire. I didn’t even notice a smell nor any noise besides my fire going. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To be perfectly honest, my husband handled this item because I do not touch our real fireplace. From what you described me, this is a product that we needed to use and we’re excited for a surprisingly cold day this past week to turn our fireplace on and use this log. My husband who has severe dyslexia, said the instructions were clear and straightforward, easy to understand, and very thorough. I have an way of inspecting my chimney to determine its efficacy, so I cannot, done that.

I can’t tell if it cleaned much since I’ve had my fireplaces cleaned already this year by chimney sweepers.

It does not have too much of a smell. 
It burns for about 40 minutes. It’s hard to tell if it’s actually removing anything, but I guess we’ll probably notice a difference after we’ve burned some fires a few times.

Easy to use peace of mind to clean up your chimney

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is meant to remain in the bag that is inside of the box. Inside the bag is a hollowed out “log” with beads inside that I think are what  help clean the chimney. The log catches fire easily and burns cleanly. It  is meant to loosen creosote and keep the chimney clear so it doesn’t start a chimney fire.  The product is very easy to use, just put it into the fire and let it do its job. It is the size of a small log so it fits easily into a fireplace. 
Only thing I would recommend it printing the instruction to NOT open the bag in larger, more noticeable text.

It's a bit hard to light at first, but once it's going it burns for a good while. Packaging is sleek. Material is interesting and kind of has a weird smell at first. Overall good product. This is also supposed to help clean your chimney; I have yet to assess the efficacy of that, but I'm interested to see how well it did that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Pine Mountain Cresote Buster firelogs instructions were very easy to understand. There was not excessive smoke from the log. It was difficult to get to light at first but once it got burning it put off good heat. It also burns for quite a while.

Long burning time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We typically use an expensive professional service to clean our large fireplace chimney so I was excited to give Creosote Buster Firelogs by Pine Mountain a complimentary trial. These cleaning logs are easy to use, they burn in the fireplace with a wood fire and clean the chimney of buildup reducing the risks of toxic buildup and chimney fires which I appreciate. When added into a fire, these logs catch fire quickly and they burn evenly. I love that they have a pine wood smell that is pleasant and no chemical smell at all. While my hubby and I feel this log did an adequate job at cleaning, it is not a replacement for professional cleaning and it can’t tell if there are any blocks in the chimney. Our large fireplace chimney was very dirty and we felt like a second log could have been used to completely and thoroughly clean our chimney. This is a good option to keep your chimney clean in between professional cleanings or to use when professional cleaning is not possible. It is recommended that a new cleaning log be used every 40 fires for the best possible cleaning outcome. I would recommend Creosote Buster to anyone with a wood burning fireplace that was looking for an easy and inexpensive way to clean their chimney.

If you want to burn your money in the fireplace buy this product, I burned 2 as I bought the windows are dirtier than they were. I'm disappointed.
