Honestly, weather has been unexpectedly quite warm since we purchased hose (in anticipation of a Upper Peninsula winter) - so, we can't really review it on how it "performs" in the cold temps - but we are familiarizing ourselves with the operation ahead of time. the thought of not having to carry buckets to livestock in icy conditions is a plus - we are connecting hose to a "Backflow Protected Automatic Draining Freezeless" hydrant, which is mandatory in Michigan - so we have to run water thru diverter (intoa  bucket) for 30 seconds before and after use (because it will have been hooked up to a hose) - something we had not fully anticipated - which is in no way reflected on hose's features or performance - just something to think about if you are in a similar situation.

The hose is quite stiff, especially at end - I'm sure it has to do with all the extra "insulation" and wired integrated in to the hose itself. We were not expecting it to be so stiff, but if it works, that's all that really matters at the end of the day.
