So far great for oven use, not bad for stove top boiling or frying either but haven't used there as frequently. The wide and shallow design compared to a dutch oven means you can fit one of each of this or the 14" version on each shelf of the oven, at least my oven, if you space the racks right. It also means you get more surface contact between the bottom on the food while still having a lid to lock in moisture. That means for example superior moist roasted onions which get sweet from browning contact with the iron. A dutch oven can keep your food moist as well but deeper narrower design usually means less contact between the food and iron and more just getting steamed instead of cooking in contact with iron.

The double duty lid is also a feature I cherish in any lid, not only so that you get a griddle and a deep skillet out of the package but also for storage purposes. Regular lids with a handle on top are not so good for packing into wherever you store your cookware. You typically have to invert regular lids to stack anything else on top of it potentially opening up the lid to dust, bugs or mice. This meanwhile lets you keep the lid on the normal way, sealing out dust, bugs or mice and providing a firm flat platform to stack other cookware on top of when in storage. So it does extra duty both on and off the stove (and also in the oven by reducing lid height) with this griddle-as-lid design, look for similar designs for your cookware collection is my advice! Also check out the 14" version.

Seasoning advice, simply rub interior with fresh vegetable oil before every time you cook, also for storage.

Exterior can also be seasoned like this occasionally or with 300F baking method if you rather it dry.
