Instructions Clarity

[Employee of dansons] I have had this Griddle for a few years now: Smash burgers, stir frys, full breakfast buffet, grilled cheese... the options are endless and the cleanup is a breeze. You won't go wrong with this awesome unit!!

Love this Griddle!!

Pit Boss Grills

A great start using PitBoss! Self installation was flawless, though lots of parts and screws. Instructions was very clear. Started ceramic griddle prep using oil and cooked my first food: Salmon on it. Delicious! Looking forward to cooking more on this griddle!

PitBoss is the BOSS OF BBQing

It's perfect size for a large family. I love the versatility of being able to have the roll cart for the house and the ability to take camping. One of the four burners has a dual gas tube, which is great for high heat searing. The ceramic surface is truly nonstick and easy to clean.

4 Burner ultimate lift off griddle with roll cart

My experience cooking on the Pitboss Griddle - Absolutely love the Pitboss, the cooking space is a game changer! Love the towel rack and the spot for making a quick garbage spot. Not as easy a clean us as I would like, wish there was more instruction for doing a deep clean to get grease and "use" off. I wouldn't cook on anything else and use it for every meal of the day!

Pitboss 4 Burner Griddle

Haven't used this grill yet, but assembly was as expected. Build quality and solid, have burned off and "seasoned". I did have flame outs due to wind. Haven't owned a gas grill that has resolved that issue but I do have wind screens. Wish me luck, burgers then chicken.

Haven't grilled yet, but so far so good...?

I've had my griddle for 3 years. The ceramic top is a great concept, but execution? Not so much. My first top failed within a year and Pit Boss replaced it. The coating is now peeling off the second one, which is out of warranty. In addition, the hinges and other joints are rusting. That doesn't bother me as much as the cooktop failure. For the amount of $$ these things cost, I am disappointed it only made it 3 years. I can't use it on it's current condition and won't be replacing it with another Pit Boss.

Dissapointing

Gavin

Got this as a gift from my shop since we're a dealer for them now. I clean and cook with the top as the manual says as this is my first ceramic griddle. I have t used it in a couple of weeks and the top is blistering and rusting now, unusable. Trying to find a cast iron replacement is extremely difficult and I'm told the top won't be warranted even though I cleaned as manual states and NEVER used metal utensils on it. I'd rather go buy a Blackstone than continue dealing with this.

Ceramic top is GARBAGE

Box and product damaged, was able to bend it back into shape but not what id expect for a 900$ purchase

DAMAGED PRODUCT

I would probably go with cast iron for my next griddle purchase. The idea behind the ceramic coating was good but not well executed in this griddle. After treating it like a ceramic pan it was working for me but at around the 2 year mark I started seeing tiny spots where the coating of the griddle was breaking off. And these 2 years were not constant use for the wear and tear factor and it was not exactly left to the elements to ruin the griddle. It was outside but it was covered with the cover that is sold by pit boss. The shelves on each side and below started to bubble and the paint began to flake off. This would have been something that I could have lived with but the griddle also failing is my issue. I wish pitboss sold replacement griddles and I also wish they made them in other materials like cast iron. All in all I got some use out of it but not much. A useful feature for the bottom of the griddles would also be wind guards so the heat can go up without interference.

Unfortunately this griddle gets a one star from me.

Stick with cast iron griddles

It was fun while it lasted, I bought the four burner in 2023 and used it a handful of times each summer since. I cleaned it properly and even bought the pit boss ultimate cooking tools, no metal has touched this cooktop. I coverd it with a proper fitted cover for the mild winters we get here in the pacific north west and this year while setting it up I noticed the ceramic cook top is flaking off. Im currently looking for places to sandblast this cooktop so i can continue using it as a non ceramic griddle. Great griddle aside from the cook top which is pretty terrible. So in my opinion stay away from the ceramic stuff. Before I bought mine I read similar reviews complaining about the ceramic cooktop and figured it was something the owners were doing wrong and now im one of owners who tried to convince past me away from this purchase.
