ive used mine twice after burn in. first i did beef short ribs and a chuck roast on smoke for about 10hrs. then i juat did burgers in about 3min on the 500 setting. I couldn't be happier. Im done with charcoal and gas. this thing is awesome. if you researched like i did you hear that the box is damaged but its packed well. that is true. no damage to my unit. pellets are affordable (for smoking, not so much when set to 500f) i really hope this holds up for years. but if i only get 3, ill buy another.

I just bought this and assembled it yesterday. I did the 40min burn off and prepped two 4lb racks of pork ribs. assembly was straight forward. Although there was a learning curve getting set up was easy. I have always been a Webber guy this Pit Boss has me hooked. after 6 hours of low and slow the ribs were perfect. I can't wait to get home and do some dogs.

Fast shipping for such a large product. Assembly was easy and was completed under recommended time. I suggest assembling in place as it’s quite heavy. Product is very solid. 
Easy to use, keeps heat well while smoking for long periods of time. Heat seems to be slightly elevated over sear plate. Probes included which makes it fool proof to ensure your meet is done to your liking. 
Lots of grilling space, suggest removing top rack when smoking large pieces of meat. 
Overall very satisfied with product.

Amazing pellet grill with added features standard

Got it home and got it assembled so far the hardest part was loading, unloading and then trying to carry it into the house. It would be so nice for a box that big and that heavy to have some handle holes in the box for grip to make it a little easier to carry. I've read through the instructions plan to give it the burn off cycle this weekend after that just some simple cooking to start and slowly move on to bigger better cuts of meat when I get the hang of using the smoker. Hopefully one day I can make a mean brisket and burnt ends for my son. Honestly for the price it's a beautiful smoker and it's made really well. The cooking greats themselves are the most heavy duty grates I've ever felt in any of the grills I've owned in my life. Super excited

Good bang for your buck!
Putting this thing together was a pain in the rear end!
Once it was together though, I've used it at least 5 nights a week.
I cook everything from slow smoked roasts, to pizza's and deserts!

Worth every Penny

Had a green mountain Grill for 5 years I replaced every conceivable part and still couldn’t get it to work. For the money I’d have expected it to last longer let alone replacing brain,fan,auger and thermo sensor. I guess it should go without saying but this is probably cleaned and stored.
 For over half the price of the GMG Daniel Boone if this lasts 5 years I’ll be happy.

Well, I would like to say the grill assembled easily, except the Austin placard that was a bit of a nuisance....that is until the assembling of the chimney cap.  The insert was missing on the chimney crossbar to allow for height adjustment.  Searching for a work around so I could put a brisket on was amazingly difficult.  Finally had to use an auto quick fastner clip that would allow the stud to screw in.

Missing Parts

Multiple issues including rust even though its under a covered deck, digital panel shorts out and auger gets stuck forcing you to take it apart to fix. We will never have another one of this brand!! Customer service wont help because it was built with no serial number on it. $500 piece of junk

Less than a year and falling apart!!

bought this pellet grill for my husband for his birthday. I put it together and waited to surprise the husband with it after work, only to plug it in and find out the control board was bad! I tried several times to contact Pitboss because the papers inside said not to return to store but to call them but the number takes you to an automated message saying they are closed even during the stated business hours. after doing research, I found that this is a very common issue with Pitboss. during my research, I found out that if you call the Pitboss number and select 2, it would bypass the automated message, and someone would answer. The lady was very surprised when she answered, but she listened to my issue and took my information and said they would send a replacement board, but Im still waiting on it to arrive at almost 2 months later.
