A little Pit goes a long way and I love mine a lot

I really like my little Pit Boss. Plenty big for my use. Own a Traeger also and this seems so much better made. I like the fast heat up. Only thing I don't care for is the location of the handle. I'm a small person and when the door is open the handle has disappeared. I can't reach or see it.

Yeah, it covers the smoker, but the drawstring sucks. I'm going to install a few grommets made for tarps, and use bungee cords to secure it.

Smoker Cover

I have used the grill 3 times and have had an issue. 
The first time I used it, it started up well and was running fine.  I like to low smoke so I have the smoker set to smoke for many hours. After 4 hours, the fire went out but the pellets kept being fed.  I restarted it, but since there were so many pellets, the temperature with the lid open exceeded 350 degrees, charring the meat.  After about 30 minutes, the temperature went back to the desired 160 range.

The 2nd time I used it, the auger had rusted shut ( I do keep the smoker on my deck with a cover on it). I disassembled the unit and was able to free up the auger. I reassembled and started it up and began using it. Once again, after a few hours the fire stopped.  I then went through the same restart as the first time.

The 3rd time I used it, the auger was functioning fine, but after 4 hours of use, the fire went out. I went and transferred the meat to my oven for the remainder.

I like making briskets and pork shoulders and allowing them to low smoke overnight. With this unit, I can not do that.  It was inexpensive so I guess you get what you pay for.

Issues each time I used it.

The grill cover barely covers as it fits too tightly. It should fit loosely over the grill an should be easy to remove but it's difficult to manage in both regards.
After disposing of the original cover that lasted less than three years, having a few holes, allowing moisture inside, I ordered this replacement from the manual that came with the grill. Now, I'm not sure what to do. I'm utterly disgusted with it.
