[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this to fill a hole/gap on my wood floor. It had worked extremely well. I was definitely surprised. I was extremely pleased the way it turned out. It was very easy to do. Just follow the directions. This had worked way better compared to others I have used in past. Others I've tried have dried way to fast almost immediately. This one dries fast but not as fast as others. With this one I was able to finish before it dried. This one also doesn't smell as bad as others I've used. I would definitely buy this product to use for future projects around my home

I'm fixing crown moulding, baseboards, etc. that the builder's painters made a horrible mess of. They didn't match up the crown joints very well. They have covered up the terrible work with acres of caulk. I spent weeks getting all the caulk off and then used this to actually make it appear that the crown fit together properly. Was actually able to sculpt a new moulding profile on the outside corners. Had to build it up with maybe three coats, but it sanded beautifully and you can't tell the moulding was installed badly. So easy to sand. Had been using Elmer's but have switched to this as I do tons of detail work and this sands so much more easily. Use 120 for first pass and 150 for final pass. Going to get more tomorrow!

Fabulous stuff!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn't sure what to think of this at first but after trying it out, I'm really liking it. It goes on smooth and easy. My favorite thing about this product is that it goes on pink. You can easily see that you have covered the area you need to cover. Then it turns to a wood color as it dries. There's no longer any question about it being dry enough to sand and paint or stain. It has a pretty quick dry time which for me makes the overall project done sooner. I have many projects lined up for this.

I really like working with this!!!

AMAZING PRODUCT! Installed crown molding and used this product to fill the nail holes and where the MDF molding joined up. The only exception is that I used caulk for the corners since it will expand and contract to some degree. This stuff is super easy to apply using only my finger and wet wipes to smooth it down. Next, I used a very gentle sanding and touched up the paint. The crown molding turned out flawless and not a single joint is visible!! Could not possibly be happier with this product!!

AMAZING Product for crown molding

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is great and can be used in many different ways. I personally used it to fill in a broken off piece of wood inside my door frame. The door wouldn't stay latched shut because a piece broke off. This worked perfectly. I love that it starts off as a contrasting color but dries natural looking. It makes it easy to see where the product has been applied, and also lets you know it is dry. This could also be used for cosmetic purposes such as gouged furniture, which will be my next project. Really came in handy for me!

Really works

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used plastic wood x all around my needed it. I used especially outside of my house to seal cracks. I never heard of wood x before testing it, but will.be using it for now on. I've even recommended it to some friends and a neighbor who is currently fixing up his house. He used some and liked it too!

Great Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had holes in the wall and in some furniture that needed to be sealed and this product did an amazing job. I've used different products in tubs and tubes but nothing comes close to this. I love how you don't have to touch it to see if its dry, you can just tell by the color that changes after it drys. I would buy this product over and over to "fill" my needs.

I wouldn't use a different product

Most of the complaints I see is from people not familiar with dealing with puddy. If it is lumpy add some solvent (Polish remover ie Acetone) or is lumpy and has solvent mix it well. The thickness is the key to what project your working on. I used it on rifle stocks, desks, tables etc. just use some common sense and TLC.

It works for me time and time again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband is an experienced cabinetmaker and used this while building some built-in bookshelves for our our living room. The Plastic Wood-X worked very well and was on par with the other fillers he uses- and he is very picky. Pros: Good consistency for spreading Doesn't dry/thicken too quickly so that it becomes difficult to spread with the putty knife Small holes such as nail holes can be filled with one application without shrinking and creating dimples Sands well Cons: None The Drydex feature that changes the filler from purple to natural when it dries will probably be useful for beginning woodworkers but experienced ones will not be concerned with this.

I would definitely use this on other projects.

I purchased thi product to fill nail holes on my outside deck stairs. I waited for product t change color then prepared and painted. 2 days later I noticed the nail holes were showing through. I scratched the area and the product was crumbling. I now have to clean out the holes, fill with a product I have used before and repaint.
