[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We line our 96 gallon trash bin with a bag to keep it cleaner. The 96 gallon bags are extremely expensive and since we fill the bin with bagged trash, there's no need to use a new one for every trash pick up. To save the liners, we use these elastics and they work well to keep the liner from falling into the garbage truck. Unfortunately these elastics don't have a very long life because the southern sun kills them pretty quickly. If you live in a different environment, they would probably last significantly longer. Would still recommend them because I can't think of a better solution. These are also overpriced but still cheaper than the 96 gallon trash bags.

For just 5-rubberbands, yes, they are expensive, and I have only used one so far for 2-weeks.  It will be interesting to see how they hold up over time of use and weather conditions.  So far, I am happy with my purchase and would highly recommend this item.
