My 8-year old twins are delighted with this garden.  I do suspect the plants will quickly outgrow the shallow pots (to be realistic, they could have just used the alyssum seeds,  which do not grow tall and would have been OK to stay in the shallow soil).  We will have to transplant some of the plants, but this has been a fun and easy project for my girls.  Beside moistening the dirt, which I did so they did not make messes, the girls set it up and planted the seeds by themselves.

Fairy Garden

My 7 year old was so excited to get this. You get the soil wet and ready to place into the desired areas and then plant the seeds they gave. It's been 4 days now and they are growing like crazy! She is so excited to see how they turn out.

It works

I liked this product because it is educational and teaches responsibility and responsibility. My 3yo learned how to plant her first plants, how to water them and remember to do it daily, She is excited to see the progress and shares with her friends about her ""faily garden"". It is a great conversation started about air and photosynthesis.

Very useful tool for introduction

Very cute. My daughter loved putting it together. One problem she had was that the fairy's arm fell off.

My daughter has wanted a garden so bad, we live in a city. This was a great alternative. I didn't want her to get discouraged by a flower box that has slow progress. This she got to see them grow within a few days of watering. The bottom portion for some reason didn't sprout anything, not sure why. Overall was a great Christmas present

Very happy

This was so much fun and we got about a week and a half into it (the seedlings were about 2"" tall) and our cat decided to knock it off of the window sill and destroyed the plants.  I've been looking everywhere to see if I could get replacement seed packets, but have yet to find them.

A great experiance!

I thought this would be a cute little item for my kid to do and have something to take care of but the seeds that came with it didn't grow at all. We planted them 3 months ago and there should of been something growing already but nothing has grown. Also on the bottom sides of the fairy house its not very deep for anything to really grow, so I wish that would of been a little bit deeper. And lastly alot of the little pieces tend to break very easily.

Cute but not worth the money
