Absolutely an amazing piece of technology. Let me say this, you need a playstation 5 system, playstation plus premium. Playstation plus games, and now your installed and streamable library are accessible. With the newest software update, instead of just remote playing your console, you are now able to stream games, and streaming is pretty flawless so far. For the price its pretty expensive but worth it. The system is a dualsense split in half with a beautiful 1080hd display. There is a headphone jack port for wired headphones, and it is charged by usb c, or like a samsung phone charger. It feels nice to hold, its sturdy feeling for a hand held system, and its not uncomfortable to hold or play on like some handhelds make your hands cramp from being smaller for the controls, Portal has a relatively same shape and ergonomics as the dualsense itself

I brought this for my son and he really loves it because he can carry it anywhere he goes now he really don't play his PlayStation 5 that much unless he's in his room he takes it on the road can move all around the house and anywhere he wants to take it

A lot of ppl talk bad about this off past experience when first released. With the new update you can remote play or play games thru cloud no PlayStation needed . Make sure remote play is enabled on PlayStation if you want to control your system on go(if you have ps5 otherwise use cloud gaming w subscription ) hope i helped others

I never thought I needed the PS Portal until I tried it. It has completely changed how and where I play my favorite PlayStation titles. The PS portal offers a solid, if niche, solution for those who can't always access their TV, but it's not without its flaws. This device is simply a remote player for the PS5 that streams games over Wi-Fi so a good connection is highly required. The portal is exceptionally comfortable to hold, especially during long gaming sessions. The controls feel similar and high quality with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers as it features an 8 inch, 1080p LCD screen capable of 60 frames per second. The portal requires a PS5 to be on or in rest mode and connected to the Internet. Battery performance typically lasts between four and eight hours. Overall, it's a surprisingly successful device that perfectly fits my gaming lifestyle.

The perfect handheld device for any PS5 owners!

I bought this for my husband who works out of town.The graphics are pretty nice and he has able to play while working out of town and leaving his PlayStation at home.I did notice that for Fortnite you have to have pretty good WiFi or the picture will look somewhat blurry.Other than that it's pretty nice.He really likes it.

Definitely do your research, I thought this was its own console unit. No one really explained from the research that I did that all it does is connect and pretty much “Bluetooth”, for a lack of better words, Your already standing PS5 to this. It's nice but it's not what I thought it was. My son was able.to use it on a trip long distance but there was times it wouldn't work also. Depends really on the kinda wifi you have, it did suck we had to leave his ps5 on at home so it could connect away.

Do your research

If you were hoping the PlayStation Portal would be the true successor to the PSP or Vita, prepare for bitter disappointment. The Portal is not a standalone handheld console; it's merely a glorified remote-play accessory for your PS5, and it barely delivers on that single, limited promise.

The Major Flaws:

Connectivity is a Nightmare: The entire experience hinges on a flawless Wi-Fi connection, and even with robust home internet (PS5 hardwired to ethernet), the performance is inconsistent. Expect frequent stuttering, frame rate drops, and random disconnects that completely ruin the immersion, making fast-paced or competitive games unplayable due to input lag.

PlayStation Portal is a Missed Opportunity

This is the worst item for play station ive ever purchased in my life!! 😡 it lags on every game and your tv has to stay on just to play it! worst product ever bought

Don't get the ps portal not even on sale it's the worst thing ever you have to do sooo many things to make it run half decent and it is still trash I had to make my WiFi better with 5ghz then change so many settings make it 1080p because it cannot handle more and even at 1080 it struggles so Mutch I had to by an Ethernet cable to conect to my ps5 and it was half decent playable not great but then I walk to my room that is very close to the WiFi like 4 meters and one wall and it lagged so much everything has to be perfect and do so many things for you to still need to be next to the wif this is the less portable and mos annoying streaming with a weak anthena divice just don't get I returnt it of corse and I really wanted to like and used this product I love to play handhelds this was so disappointing.

So disappointed this things is a nightmare

To me it's not worth it. My son has gotten excited about this game just for it to continue to sign him out of his dad's account and kept having him ask us for help every second. It's too much it's a hassle. I didn't do my research on this before I bought it like I usually do things and this one took a turn for my money. Now I'd just like it back.
