This 2.5 qt steamer is the perfect humidifier for our wood stove.. Its compact size doesn't overwhelm the space, and its volume is ample enough for a day of heating. It's coated inside and out to prevent rust. A lot of the higher-priced steamers aren't coated on the inside, which seems like a mistake. Easy to clean. Very happy with this product!

Can't be the price if you're looking for an inexpensive CIS/H.  The first one delivered to the store was chipped in the top cover due to packing.  Sent it back for replacement.  The second one arrived in tip top shape.  Already in use on top the wood stove.  So far very pleased with it and the $$ as I said you can't beat it.

Steamer/Humidifier

After searching all over the net (I buy online alot, I live remote on a ranch) I was shocked to find this at such a GREAT PRICE!!!
I heat the entire house with wood...my woodburner goes 24 & 7...its a workhorse, but also the air in the house was very dry. My plants were drying out constantly.
I searched for an iron steamer for the top of my stove....but all sooooo expensive, even at the local wood & pellet stove stores.
Then I went to the Walmart site & WOW!!! Bought this steamer immediately....use it constantly....refill it 3-4 times a day...LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!!

I love the look of this piece, though it is smaller than I expected. I was not expecting for the paint to smell, crack and spew chips when hot, though. Tiny white spurs of mineral deposits actually build up at many of the crack/split sites and leave white powder residue on the stove top. I wish the piece had no paint on it. Had I paid $10 or $15, I might have expected unsatisfactory quality, but not for $35. It does function as a humidifier and holds enough water to last overnight, but had I known when I ordered it online what it would look like after use, I would have kept looking. I got burned.
