Assembly

Putting

We research and ordered this in the mail and it came on time. It was the least expensive one.  Very easy assembly. Three pieces and some nuts and bolts. We sunk it about an inch into the ground, put in a layer of lava rock and surrounded the outside with stacking retainer wall bricks. Didn't need any mortar.  It works great at keeping the flames in and looks really nice. We just learned you can buy a lift off screen cover for it and we will be doing that next.

Very heavy gauge steel that does not flex at all.  In four pieces which bolt together with 2 bolts per section.  Holes line up perfectly.  Holds about 80 pounds of wood at a time and will provide heat for about 10 persons circled around it.  We used this in 25-degree F. weather for a gathering and it was a great success.

Strong, Well Made, and Makes a Great Fire

I'm so pleased I got this. It was pretty easy to put together the one negative I have to say is that the heads of the bolts are just a tiny bit bigger than the holes in the four pieces of the fire ring. So don't tighten everything too much at the beginning just go around and gradually keep tightening. Otherwise they will pop through. I slightly submerged mine into the ground, it will really contain the fire, and there's no bottom to it to rust out like all the old fire pit things I used to buy. This is tough and looks like it will last forever. if you wanted to it would be easy to take car camping because you can take it apart and nest the four pieces of the circle together. but this isn't going anywhere!

Great Value, looks

Easy assembly, all the holes lined up perfectly.  Looks great, I haven't used it yet but I can't see that there should be any problems.  It doesn't have any oils or odors that I have read others complain about different brands having.  I'll burn it hot the first time before we roast anything on it and all should be fine.

Great buy on a Fire Ring

Exactly as described.  I used it to line the inside of a brick firepit that I built and then lined between the brick and the liner with gravel.  Looks very nice!

Cheapest fire pit ring ever, but this thing is HUGE!!  3 feet across; no joke

A decent item for the price. The bolts holding it together could use a washer. Someone mentioned earlier that you can put two of them together to form a larger pit but that won't work unless you're willing to bend the pieces in a larger arc. I would recommend it as a value item.

I'm using mine as a raised garden for my herbs. I really like it and it is easily put together.

Purchased 5 of these for raised planter beds for our vegetable garden.  Easy to assemble and work like a charm.  Should last for years to come.

Great raised bed idea.

Replaced cheap screws and nuts with stainless nuts and bolts. In mas sale I am sure the difference is less than a $1.00...Upgrade could be offered by Walmart.

Any welder knows that heating galvanized metal gives off toxic fumes. Why is this item even allowed to be sold as a fire pit. Enjoy your  new fire ring along with some poisionous gases.
