If you are wanting to get into the Pokemon card game with some decent, tournament legal decks, this product is great. You get 2, standard legal 60 card decks, one Fairy and one Dark - for a total of 120 cards. 20 of the cards are FOIL! Including some exclusive FOIL energy cards. Additionally, you receive some other bits to play with, flip coins, deck boxes, damage counters, etc. For a full list of what you get, check out the Bulbapedia entry on this fine product. I'm not going to regurgitate the card lists here.

Finally, you receive a code card to use with the Pokemon Trading Card Game Online.

Play in person, or play online. I love how the Pokemon Company includes these code cards in all their products so you can play with your cards online. The other big trading card games (Magic) do NOT do this. The online packs for other games (Magic) cost the same as the physical packs. This is a big reason why I moved from the other games (Magic) to Pokemon. Yes, there is a pretty fun game with the cards. It's not just about collecting. And you can play online!!! :)

At the previous price of $21.80, this was a no brainer - I bought 2 boxes.

If you can find them online at another retailer for cheaper and want to get into the Pokemon card game to play AND want to play Fairy or Dark Pokemon, you NEED this set. If you want to play the game with decent decks, this is a GREAT product for that, too. If you are a collector and love the cards, this will give you a lot of extra FOILS and rares and exclusives to trade. It's a win all the way around.

What I have been doing is making the Fairy deck better. I plan to add 3 basic EX Pokemon and 3 Mega Evolutions. Took out some decent, but, to me, not the best pokemon and trainers, added more trainer cards, and scaled back the energy to meet the 60 card deck size limit. Play testing my alterations has yeilded some decent results. Not 100% where I want to be, but this product helped me kick start a Fairy deck.

Tons of cards, my son was over the moon! Ended up not really keeping them separate or as a "game" but if you're looking for a lot of cards this is the way to go.

9 yr old grandson has loved Pokemon a long time. He plays the games and watches youtube trading cards. To my surprise he did not have the X and Y Deck! When he opened it on Christmas he was really excited and so was his Dad! It was a hit.
