I'm normally someone that would build my own,  but with time and materials currently at a premium this was the next best option.  Construction was straightforward but when joining the top and bottom two people are required.  Of course it is white covered particle board but once assembled it looks decent and works well,  I painted the hooks black.

Much sturdier than I expected for the price! It fit perfectly in our tight, awkward space. Took about 2 hours for me to put together and not too difficult at all.

Perfect fit!

This rack was easy to put together. It is sturdy and sits stable on floor. There were no mars on the wood. Adult shoes will require one shoe to sit on side since shoe cubbies are small, but children's shoes fit well. I'm glad we bought this.

Easy to put together

Great piece. I cut strips of patterned vinyl to put in the shoe cubbies and it made a huge impact on the look plus added protection. Love the extra shoe storage in our mud room!

Great show storage

Overall this is a great piece.  It takes a few hours to assemble but the instructions are mostly clear.  It looks nice and fits lots of items.  My criticism is that some of the pieces of wood are thin so during assembly the nails started to come through the front side.  Be mindful for this as you build.  Otherwise we are very happy with it!

Great mud room addition

It's ok overall…..the typical particle board stuff.  Be very careful when hammering in the nails for the backing panel.  I managed to sneak mine through the gap between pieces and it kind of wrecked the front where the back wall intersects the bench.  No instructions on where to place the nails properly and you cant see where they might poke through when banging them in.

Prepac Hall Tree

Pieces came chipped, shows the low quality of the boards. There is also space between places where they did not tighten completely together. Makes it look a bit cheap. I expected a little more for the price. The back could have been a higher quality as well.  Assembly was fair. Be careful when assembling the back panel; since the boards a cheap, we have one nail pushing through the side.

Ok, but would buy something else if doing it again

Looks nice. Not sure it was right fit for us. My advice is to organize all the pieces prior to starting by labeling each piece with correct number. Also do not purchase if you have baseboard larger than the allotted indentation. We thought we could trim it to work, which we did easily trim with saw.  But didn't realize we had more of the shoe part that would not work with our 8” baseboard.  So the whole thing is sticking out half an inch from the wall. Sigh. Not thrilled. But our oversight.

Was excited till we thought it through

Absolutely nothing has a label! Not even the hardware!!! How in the heck do you expect me to build this thing??? This is a $300 mistake. Hopefully I'm just an accident and other people haven't made this purchase and encountered this issue. I would return it but its so heavy and I have no way of taking it to a ups location. Highly disappointed with this product. This would only allow me to go down to 2 stars but I would give it none because a semi simple project just became a 46 piece puzzle.

NOTHING IS LABELED

Spent 4 hours fixing and then noticed that one of the panels was NOT white. White laminate was missing.
