It's just like it looks in the picture. Not difficult to assemble just a little time consuming. It took me 3 or 4 hours with a buddy. It's heavy so be sure to build it where it's going lol very nice bed frame though I like it! I got a matching headboard from Walmart too(shown below)

The bed comes in approximately 4-5 boxes; very heavy. So, make sure you have a plan to get it home if you don't have it delivered. 

The instructions are very clear. All of the pieces (nuts and bolts, too) are included. However, you will need a screwdriver (obviously).  

My husband and I took our time putting it together; made for a great weekend project (12 drawers… and the bed). 

I don't recommend using a boxspring and mattress unless you plan on getting bed steps because it is fairly high. But I love it! I feel like royalty. A single pillow top mattress does the job. 

The storage space is great! We needed the extra space in the room and this is perfect. Also, we have been married a month and the bed has thus far proven to be quite sturdy. Just remember though, it is not exactly solid wood. 

I would definitely recommend it. It may not last forever, but with care it seems it WILL last.

So far, so good

Very happy with the product. Some damage happened during shipping. Contacted the company and they shipped out replacements right away. My one complaint would be that the paint/stain is a little thin. Scratches  show up easily.

Great product for the price

This bed is delivered in three separate boxes on different days. This is a very sturdy bed.  Considering it is not real wood. If you have carpet do not drag this bed, it is a must that you lift it as, the molding can come off.  It is also very tall. It sleeps well. If you are short you will need a step tool.  The drawers are very spacious.  Excellent for extra storage. However, you will need at least two people helping you to assemble this bed. It is very labor intensive.The instructions are not very clear when it came to the two middle sections. They really need to label B2 with wording Bottom clearly listed on the bottom section of these pieces. It was hard to figure which part was the bottom.  This would have been really helpful.  However, the company has excellent customer service. I would separate all screws into baggies before starting. Having an electric drill will speed up the process.  Also an allen wrench that has a grip pad that is straight it will make it easier. You can  purchase one from the dollar store. I found it easier to use and faster.  It comes with a an allen wrench so you don't have to get one.  It took two days for me to assemble this bed.  Depending on how fast you are the drawers alone will take a  couple of hours. There are twelve of them.  Take your time and assemble everything tightly and it will come out very sturdy. The company will state a couple of hours for assembly, but that would mean none stop labor for several hours. No worries the strews are great they don't strip very easily that also was a plus. it fits perfectly between  my headboard. All in all I love the bed.

The Princess and Pea

This bed has 12 drawers of amazing storage. The backs of drawers do not touch each other when closed, so there is a sizable gap in the middle section under the bed.  The way the frame sets up creates three separate chambers under the bed. There's enough space between the drawers where you can store a bunch of Tupperware containers or other large items. Since the drawers simply pull and lift out, that space is good to access for medium to long-term is extra storage that wasn't intended (See picture).

There is some horizontal diagonal bracing, but if you wanted it to be sturdier, it would be prudent to add vertical diagonal bracing boards in the empty space between where the drawers close, instead of using it for extra long-term storage. The bed can be a little wobbly but is fairly firm with normal use. 

The bed frame is firm and flat. Previously, even with a Tempur-pedic mattress I was getting lower back problems with my old simple box frame. This bed has solved the issues. Saying that, the Tempur-pedic mattress with a foam pillow top makes it very tall, and as a 6 foot tall person I actually have to hop a little bit to get into bed. It comes up to 34 inches (almost 3 feet.) So it is a noticeably taller bed which could annoy some people. For the price, it was an excellent decision. I already had a simple black headboard that closely match this so it looks more finished.

Tall, but resourceful

We were looking for a bed with storage to eliminate the need for dressers. This bed fits our needs. It arrived earlier than expected in 4 large, very heavy boxes. We needed help from our friends to get them from our porch to the foyer (don't know how the delivery man got them from the truck to the porch by himself).  There were tons of pieces and not all parts were clearly marked so it took a bit of thought and scratching of heads to get it together, but we managed. Plan for a couple of hours at least. Also make sure you put the bed where you want it the first time. Won't be easy to move once it is together. Would have to remove the drawers and mattress at least. That being said, it is a lovely bed and very sturdy. The sides of the drawers are pine, and even the backs of the drawers are solid. The metal slides make for smooth opening and closing.  It is tall so if you are short, may need a stool to get in the bed. Only downside was the price. We kept seeing it for under 600.00 but when we ordered it , the price was about $25.00 higher☹️  That's why it gets 4 stars instead of 5.

Just what we were looking for

Some of the drawers don't close as should. Intructions weren't too clear- caused confusion and more work! Beside that it is high and nice looking after assembling everything. It has lots of space.

Nice but lack clear assembling instructions!

I ordered this bed in espresso. It is black. It even says black on the package. Set up took all day, with my husband and I working together. The headboard and footboard, as well as two inner pieces, are made of plywood! For the price, I expected better. It's also very tall. Uncomfortably tall.

Looks can be deceiving

This bed was a type of bed Ive always wanted, but this bed was junk. I suggest if you don't believe what I say after this review look up the manuel for this bed. First of all there is absolutely no support for this bed. As soon as we finished building and added the mattress we began to get in it, then we heard a huge crack. 1 of the 9 plywood support beams broke in half. The support beams are only 1/3 of an inch thick. How is that suppose to support  2 adults is beyond me. We took apart the bed just to find the lug nuts that are attached to 2 plywood pieces that are suppose to hold the drawers and mattress had sunk in, in short terms that broke too. I carried the piece of plywood to home depot just to be told i can't get stronger  wood for the bed because 1 the rail for the bed is uniquely thin and 2 so was the wood. The only thing they carried was 1/2 inch thick wood planks and wouldn't sand it down.  So after 4hrs at home depot and the help of an employee we came with an idea since I couldn't return the bed since we needed it. We got a sheet of plywood cut it in half to support the weight and mattress, then added the 1/2 inch wood cut by 27 inches to fill in the gaps in the middle.  In a way we created a spine for the bed.  The extra screws and wood cost me $48. We threw away the 9 planks of plywood since it wad literally garbage. This bed made both of us nuts.  Save your money and get a bed made of actual wood and steel.  Not a plywood/ aluminum rails/ aluminum screws and nuts.

Horrible bed

This bed is cheap particle board that breaks easily! Bed kept breaking with no more than 250 pounds on it!

Waste of money!
