I made bacon on it on Sunday, it worked pretty well. The bacon didn't stick to the surface. Cons: it did take awhile to heat up. The drain cup isn't very secure when you connect with the griddle. Other then those 2 cons its a great griddle for the money.

I cook for a living. I use commercial equipment regularly. I didn't buy the commercial griddle as it may blow the breaker in my kitchen. This is a review after one use. This model uses a fraction of oil you would need with a frying pan. Including prep, I made 12 pancakes and 6 eggs in a half hour. Clean up was a breeze. At this point it is impressive.

Impressive after first use.

This griddle is light-weight, easy to store, and very easy to clean.  While the tray doesnt fit super tight it does stay in place while cooking. The removable legs for storage is an added bonus.

Awesome Griddle

It heated up fairly quickly and the heat seemed fairly even, according to how it browned a bunch of sausage patties which pretty much covered the whole surface area.

I was surprised that the cooking surface wasn't smooth, but textured; I thought that might make it more prone to sticking, but it didn't at all.  In fact, it probably is the most non-stick surface I've ever used, even better than my well-seasoned Smithey cast iron griddle.  Eggs, sausages and sourdough pancakes all just slid off without any sticking at all; pretty amazing.

I also really like that it disassembles easily for cleanin and storage; I've got the main part in a cupboard with my large cookie sheets, and the other parts in a drawer with other cooking accessories.

I wanted a large surface so I could cook quite a bit at once, so I don't have to cook so often (old single guy that likes frozen leftovers.)  This works great for that.  I would definitely replace this with the same model if mine were to get damaged.  Highly recommended.

Walmart shipped it quickly -- I had it two days after I ordered it.

Excellent griddle for cooking large batches

I bought this mainly for cooking breakfast. Used it for the first time today. Made bacon, some fried eggs as well as scrambled. All came out perfect! I only cooked 8 strips of bacon but I think I could have easily fit the entire pound. The griddle handles are easy to put on/take off. Cleaning was super easy and fast. All in all, I'm very happy with it.

Works great!

We are a Family of five and this Grill is great to cook everything at the same time on, nobody has to wait on their food. Grill heats up quickly and is great. You can also remove the legs for cleaning and easy storage when you have limited cabinet space. GREAT GRILL AT A GREAT PRICE. YES I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS GRILL TO EVERYONE.

Presto 22-inch Electric Griddle

Decent griddle.  I've only used it once, but it got really hot and heated evenly.  Made GREAT pancakes, cooked sausage patties well. I was surprised at the textured surface though...it's not the "smooth as glass" surface I was expecting, but rather a "crinkled" type of surface. I was worried about the cleaning effort because of that, but a quick rinse under the faucet with dish soap and a brush was plenty. Legs remove and attach very easily with a wire spring type latch. Power cord was long enough for my needs.  The grease tray slides in and out easily (maybe too easily).  I bought this mainly for pancakes on Sunday mornings...did a great job for my needs.

Decent Griddle. Can't go Wrong for the Money.

I bought this after I was making grilled cheese for a family of 6. I was frustrated on using a normal frying pan as it was taking too long to make. I told my wife I'm buying a griddle. I used it to make French toast once I received and I could make 8 slices to 3 on a frying pan. Sure made it easy. I later made grilled cheese and my 10 year old son said it was the best grilled cheese ever. I'll admit the crust was buttery and had good sear. He even said maybe my hamburgers maybe even better. I'm going to try them in a few days. So buy it already I'm happy I did.

cuts cooking in half

I love the fact that I can remove the legs.  I put the griddle in my 9" tray divider cabinet and put the rest in a drawer.  We only use it maybe 1/2 dozen times a month but it has worked great over the last 6 months.  Gets hot quickly and cleans up easily.

This is a replacement for a 1996 Presto griddle that we enjoyed a lot until the legs broke. I've used this new one only once and it seems to work well. I did not see any uneven cooking of the pancakes as some people reported. It has a great non-stick surface and seems easy to clean. The handles are very easy to install/remove.

Ordered it and was notified it was not available.  They did not know how it was still on the website for purchase.  Bummer.
