I was pleasantly surprised that the product was delivered 3 days earlier than expected, I wanted to get it by Friday and it arrived on Tuesday.

I have dealt with the magnetic plugs before on electric frying pan so I knew how to deal with it, the secret is to place the unit close to the duplex receptacle and not to touch it at all, it will not come off unless you bump it.

I am also happy with the size and speed which with the oil heats up. Just be patient - you can wait 3-4 minutes before putting your food in and it is fine. Don't put it in before, or it may become oily.

Cooks quite well, it is so much better than trying to deep fry on the stove in a wok - so I am pleased. One tip: You don't really need the baskets at all, they make it easy to remove the food but if you feel like it, you can put the food directly into the oil, and use a wire strainer to remove the food. Especially for battered food - like shrimp tempura.

Another tip: To clean the oil, just use paint strainers, they are like $5.00 for 100 or so - and they do the job quite well. I strain the oil into a very large measuring cup and then poor back into the original oil container with a funnel. Not a drop goes to waste, and the oil doesn't become rancid from leaving exposed to the oil. The next use, you can reuse the oil, and top up as necessary.

I would recommend to a friend, for the price - the value is quite good. The delivery exceeded my expectations.

I think this fryer is the best for the money because you can take the hole thing apart and store every part within the main fryer and it will even go back in the box it came in. I have used it to fry just about everything even fair foods. Just ordered the larger basket and it works very well. Hopes this helps all of you.

Great Fryer

I've had mine for over a year and use it weekly. Like it so much, that I purchased this one for a friend that deep frys a lot also. Had always wanted a double basket and this is the perfect size, I use the gallon of canola oil that you can buy at your local Walmart

This fryer actually works pretty good. I ordered mine online so when it arrived the weight of the box was cause for alarm. This fryer is about the weight of a 2 slice toaster. At first glance it appears to be on the low quality side, but once you start using it, it's really not that bad and gets the job done. Having dual baskets is definitely a plus. The opportunity are endless with this fryer and it fries really well. It has a thermostat that maxes out at 375 and the unit is pretty easy to clean up after frying. I would recommend this product.

Fried at home

I was surprised to find the lid to the fryer is plastic and you can not use it if you are frying anything with alot of moisture, so the grease splatters every where. The outside of the unit is very flimsy aluminum material and the handles are a hard plastic. The unit takes a long time to heat up. I am not overly impressed with the fryer and now wished I would have spent the extra $30 and got one like my old one.
