Can be leak-resistant, but also prone to grounds leakage.

If you like fresh perked coffee in about 10 mins. look no further.
Internal parts are all stainless, no PLASTIC'S here. Been using this type for over 10 yrs. have to buy a new one about every  3 to 4 yrs. the manufacture makes the cord short, so prone to breaking inside, causing short, sparks, and flames. Not recommended to leave the kitchen,  why brewing, or plug into a GFI protected breaker.

I really like the taste of my coffee. It perks the coffee quickly too.  Doesn't automatically turn off after a few hours, which I though it did. At least there is a on light indicator, which alerts me it is still on.  Do not like how grounds seep through. I am even using a filter made specifically for this type of coffee maker (filters that come with pre-drilled center holes.)
Overall look forward to my morning coffee.

Worth it!

Hot coffee! Yes! This makes good, really hot coffee with no plastic taste that you get from drip coffee makers like Black and Decker. I have other Presto products like their pressure cookers and they are good. I previously had a cheaper percolator Mixpresso brand and it corroded within a month and went into the dumpster at 4 months. So I am hoping this Presto percolator will be reliable. 
One caveat- this 12 cup pot is heavier than the cheaper percolators and the coffee is extremely hot. So be careful if you have small children or if you have problems with manual dexterity.

Hot coffee! No plastic taste.

I don't like to cook in plastic and this is easy to use, makes great coffee quickly AND contains no plastic in the interior of the pot! A win win win!

Healthy and delicious!

I chose this because I want to brew coffee in a pot that contains no plastic. It's easy to use,  brews excellent coffee quickly, and keeps it hot until it's unplugged.

Excellent plastic-free coffee maker

We used to go to the coffee shop several times a week, even though we had a one-cup brewer at home. This coffee perculator makes such good coffee we have not been to the coffee shop in two weeks. It brews rich, hot coffee, and is a considerable cost savings. It might take a bit of experimenting to find your perfect ratio of coffee to water based on your taste, but the end product is well worth it. We do recommend the flat round filters that go in the bottom of the basket rather than the wrap-around filters, but we prefer strong coffee.

Great for real coffee lovers!

I've tried Keurig, mr. Coffee, French press, stove top coffee pot- all of them started out ok but Keurig was expensive, mr. Coffee was fast but the taste of the coffee was only good for a month or so.  French press was good for when the power ran out but didn't keep the coffee hot enough.  Stove top coffee maker took too long but made really good and hot coffee but the plastic top fell apart.  
A friend of mine always swore by electric perk coffee so I thought I'd give it a try.  I've had it for just under  month and use it every day.  It brews a cup a minute of great coffee.  I use distilled water bc I have hard well water and use the paper filters I had from the mr. Coffee machine.  The orange light goes on once the brewing is done and the coffee stays hot until you unplug the pot.  Easy to use, easy to clean, prep the night before and just plug in when I get up.  Great purchase.

God, I love this coffee pot!

The Presto 12 cup stainless steel coffee maker is absolutely amazing. It makes such smooth clean coffee and it keeps it so hot!!! This was 100% worth the price I paid. I definitely recommend this product. I purchased it because I was looking for a coffee maker that is BPA free and I was sick of buying ones that made my coffee taste like plastic. The Presto is very good quality.

This Presto Perculator outperforms the current coffee makers in so many ways. I travel and its compact enough to take with you on trips for the very best tasting coffee anywhere. I use distilled water and being all SS it will not put a taste in water from plastic, copper, or aluminum like current coffee maker models. Do not have to worry about breaking the glass container. It dosen't put out as much heat and keeps the coffee hot for as long as you want. It makes the best coffee faster. No potential of a mechanical problem to clog up and make a mess to clean up. If you are considering of going to the old perculator, do not hesitate, try this and you will experience great coffee and save money on coffee costs, because it recirculates the water back through the grounds, not just one pass through the grounds. Makes great tea, put the tea bags in the basket and you have great tea.

Want great tasting Coffee with fewer problems?

The spout is angled almost straight up and is tiny, like a straw. If you aren't very careful, this hot coffee will overshoot the cup and at best, make a big mess. At worst, if you are holding the cup, it will scald your hand. Ask me how I know.
