We bought this a month ago for our trailer to replace a sofa bed. My 18yr old sleeps on it every night. Very comfortable and looks great. It did require 2 people to put it together, but it was still fairly easy. As for other peoples comments about opening and closing, it's easy once you figure out how to do it properly. The bed is on a cantaleaver system so push it open from the middle top and pull up from a corner to close. Easy peasy.

Great futon! Great price!

I bought this item to have in the basement for the kids to use when they had friends over...it was very easy to put together and the mattress is very comfy!

Very comfortable!

Love the Futon! Had visitors sleep on it. Thought it is very comfortable. It is big and solid which I was looking for since I have 4 children.

Good to sleep on!

I must say first that to mount futon on its own is tedious and that the one-page manual with image without too much detail should have been reworked. On the other hand once mounted one can be proud to have bought it, very comfortable to sleep, simple but elegant appearance, perfect to have a sofa and a spare bed on hand.

Super Futon

I am not a good fan of Futons but still I bought it as we were looking for some thing that saves space and provides a combo solution for bed and sofa.
Assembly was easy and it took less than 30 Minutes to assemble. Infact there are only 3-4 steps.
Appearance is good.
It is good for sleeping and good space but not good for seating. All the futons have similar issue though.
A good value for money but for those who wants to buy a comfortable seating space, I would not recommend.

Average Look and Feel

I bought this futon 6 months ago and it works pretty well as a bed but as a couch it feels like we are sitting in a ditch. This product will definitely result in back problems if proper care is not taken to support the back while sitting.

better as a bed than a couch

First thing when I received this futon is to be very surprised about the small box supposed to contain this futon... It was impossible to have a mattress inside a box of only 6" thick, 3 feet wide and 6 feet length !
I Have discover when I have open the box the mattress deflated and very flat folded in the box...
I was angry because I was suppose to have a 8" thick mattress !
Then I have open the seal and TALAM... The mattress inflated by itself and becoming a 8" thick mattress !!!
Okay, good I have a 8" mattress but... If I have to return it it will be IMPOSSIBLE to put everything in the same packaging because how I can to deflate this mattress and reseal it ?

second thing: The mattress have a smell... bad smell I can't remove and I'm still have 4 days later and takeover my sheet and bedspread !

third thing: The metal structure look very good with the wooden arms but... very difficult to close the bed to become a couch... the reverse is very easy but closing it is a fight and I'm a guy from 6 feet tall with 180 pounds... I can't imagine a tiny woman handling this alone... I'm checking what I can do to have this thing easier as I need to turn it into a couch every morning to do some space in my living room...

Otherwise its much better than a click clack futon where at least I can replace the mattress when I will need to do so. Also, with 8" thick I don't feel the metal tube below... isn't full comfortable but can do the job... by the way I can't get thicker than that and if its firmer it will be almost impossible to turn it as couch when it will be as a bed !

smelly and hard to close

i bought this 2 weeks ago. It was a pain trying to assemble it and the most disappointed I have ever been with a mattress! I was supposed to be 8 inches. the mattress is 2 inches at best! I have to return it. Not worth the money or effort to assemble. I'm tall and my feet hang over the edges. what a waste.
