When decoying deer, movement of your decoy is the key success. All hunters know that if they could get their decoy to move, it would be more realistic and put approaching deer at ease. With the SCARFACE deer decoy, the slightest breeze will move the head and tail naturally. Once a buck sees SCARFACE in his area, he will come in to investigate the intruder. Be Ready! All of SCARFACE's components: head, ears, antlers, and legs fit inside the soft body cavity. This makes him easy to carry and cuts down on unwanted noise in the field.<br><br>Tips for use: Set up SCARFACE where he can be seen from a distance. Setting the decoy in the open, in range of your blind or stand will bring more deer by your set up. Handle your decoy with care. Be careful not to leave scent on your decoy. Store SCARFACE in an area where he will not pickup scent. Use rubber gloves when handling and spray him down with Primos Silver XP Scent Eliminating Spray after you have him set up. I spent a lot of time this season reviewing almost every deer decoy out there. Finally I decided on the primos scar face. I am so glad I chose this one! He is sturdy and very realistic. Head moves as it's supposed to and tail is very lifelike. The parts are a little difficult to fit them all inside the body but if you follow the directions that come with it, it does fit. The backpack is nice too, and can just be tucked inside the body when he is set up. I have seen reviews on the stake breaking but have had no issues myself yet. I got scarface on sale making the value excellent as well. I have seen many decoys in similar price ranges that do not even compare to the quality of scarface. Some advice: when using scents, ALWAYS spray the decoy generously with scent killer after setup and NEVER use attractant spray directly on tail or body. Use a scent wick and attach it to the ground stake or use scrape scent on the ground under the decoy. This will prevent the decoy from holding scents that are not the proper scent for the time of year and scaring away the smarter and bigger bucks.

I received two decoys both in excellent condition all porch present stand very sturdy easy to assemble and put in package would recommend these decoys to every Deer Hunter

The decoy actually works great, however, I did not receive it from Wal-Mart as they said it was lost in transit... UPS label was generated but UPS never received a date to pick it up from Wal-Mart. REFUNDED. Bought it at a competitor and have used it successfully in the 2014 season. (NE Ohio) Good luck!

Wal-Mart Lost It During Transit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Compared to other decoys, Scar is pretty lifelike. I liked the details like the realistic tail and how the head moves with the wind to mimic lifelike movements. The eyes are neat too. Easy set up and break down.

The plastic is more quiet and durable compared to other brands. Assembly and stability also great. Realistic tail and the head moves a bit in the wind for realism. The carry bag is also good. Stay away from those other Flambeau decoys. This is well worth the extra money.

Best Decoy

good

Decoy itself works good. Tail and head both have the natural movement of a deer with very little wind! However the stand u place into the ground to hold the balance of the decoy is very cheaply made. After 1 day, even placing it in soft ground, the bottom broke off causing it to become unbalanced. Thanks to a friend we were able to put a weld on it and everything is fine now!

Works well (but)

Did some research an decided on th scarface. The decoy exceeded my expectations. When used in the right situation the decoy is effective. 
NOTE
**Like anything new you must allow time for the new smell to wear off. Assemble the decoy in your back yard an let sit outside for 10 to 14 days. 
**you may have to trim the hole where the head fits into the body it will give you more movement. Trim small slivers at a time 
** practice packing and unpacking the decoy follow the specific directions! It will allow you to do it quickly and quietly in the field. Practice practice practice!
**Scent eliminators are a must when you think you've sprayed enough spray a little more.
Keep a pair of gloves in the bag to use to assemble and dis assemble in the field. Spray the gloves with scent eliminator.
The picture below that guy came 10 yards from thefood plot saw the decoy and with no hesitation tail flicking all happy walked in.

Worth the money!!

The Deer Decoy seems to work quite well after a lot of trimming around the cavity where the neck attaches to the body. There is minimal movement and a lot of binding initially - you have to mount the head/neck and then trim off a lot of excess material in the neck cavity to allow the head/neck to move much at all. Once you get it so the head moves freely, in the wind with the tail that hooks on the back and moves in the wind it appears quite realistic.

It appeared to be a good idea, but it was a huge disappointment. After washing the new chemical smell off of this decoy and using a dominant buck attractant to cover any other smells undetected by my over sized nose, I found that the appearance of the decoy only spooked bucks away. I thought I might use it as a doe decoy by removing the antlers, but when I attempted to stick the base in the ground, the rod going into the decoy broke off. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.
