i use Prismacolor pencils myself, in my own coloring. They're very easy to use, and the colors are beautiful. My grandkids also love them, because they're what i use. I can't afford to have the kids use them tho, so we tried out this scholar set. Because the cores are so much stronger, they hold up better under kid-use. When you find these on sale, go for it. Im very happy with them, and so are the grandkids.

I was very pleased to find Prismacolor pencils for such a good price. Made them affordable for me! Prismacolor are high quality colored pencils that color smoothly and richly. Was happy to have quality pencils to gift to a friend.

I have all the different types of the prismacolor pencils such as Premier, scholar, verithin etc. and must say these are the closest to the Premiers. The Premiers are very very pricey as all you coloring fans know. I purchased the verithin, the regulars etc, before purchasing the Scholars and let me tell you for this Walmart price the Scholars are amazing, and best of all they do not break as easily as the Premiers when sharpening. 
Definitely great buy for 48 count.

Awesome pencils

Had seen these advertised on TV and when they were marked down for Xmas sales, I couldn't resist.  I don't feel like I have to press as hard and they seem brighter.  The 48 count gives me a good variety as well.  Will have to see how long they actually last.  So far, so good.

Much better than what i was using

My child is Starting art class and i wanted her to be outfitted with all the things she needed. I understand that prismacolor is the best in the industry, but can be very pricey. I was able to afford this on my limited budget.

GREAT VALUE

watch for price changes, the day we looked at them it was 22.00, then when we needed to order them it was over 24.00 and now, today it is 20.23 - if you want them buy them today as the price is better. They are good quality.

great color selection - superior quality

My children take art lessons and these pencils were recommended by their teacher. They have lasted for years.

Excellent art pencils

Very happy with the Prismacolor pencils the colors are beautiful and blend very well together. But I was not happy with Walmart's shipping  I went to the store picked them up the packaging was very bad . And the pencils were out of there original packaging and tips were broken, Walmart needs to work on there packaging if they want there customers to keep ordering from them.

Prismacolor pencils

i used to be an art student and these are the best colored pencils that you can possibly purchase. they are full color without having to use pressure. they're very soft and full color which saves your hands from hurting and cramping cause you will not have to keep drawing over and over the same area; layering;  to actually see the color!. i always buy these colored pencils. there are none that compare. they're even sold at craft stores for alot more money!.

if you're looking for the best colored pencil.

i do like them, but i don't see why they are so expensive.  a few of the colors are brighter, more intense than the crayola or crazy art pencils, but i do not see any reason for them to be so much more expensive than the others.  sometimes i think they are too waxy and i find myself using my crayola and crazy art pencils a lot more than the prismacolors.  shading seems easier with my old pencils and blending is about the same.  i love some of the prismacolor colors that you can't get with the others, tho.  I'm glad i paid a sale price and not full price.  note, these are the Scholars i'm talking about...i have not tried the Premium yet, but i do plan to.

should be priced lower

Ordered 2 packs required for school. One pack was open and pencils at bottom of bag.  Putting it back together I was short pencils.  These pencils are much more costly than others.  Very irritating
