Overall very nice kettle. Sleek, boils very quickly. Automatic shut off is very convenient. Lifts right off the base for easy service on dining table!

I simply don't know how I lived without this before now! I keep it in my home office with a little plastic drawer filled with teas and single serve hot chocolates. It looks great! I drink my tea in huge (20 oz) coffee cups and can drink 5-6 cups of tea before needing to refill the reservoir. The water comes to a boil for just a second or two before the kettle shuts itself off. I think every home should have one of these. I can see potential for college kids with ramen or Asian rice noodles too!

Incredible!!

This kettle works great and looks good enough to leave on the counter top all the time. The only issue we have with it is that it does not turn off if you lift the kettle and pour water before it automatically turned itself off. So, it will be on when you return the kettle to its dock, no matter how much water is left. Our previous kettle turned itself off as soon as you lifted it. This is probably not much of an issue, but is just not what we were used to.

Good Kettle

Use kettle every morning. So far it has worked well. Negative so far is that the heating coils are not covered. They are exposed to the water and air and already are showing stains. Covering the coils would, I think, prolong the life of the unit and make it easier to clean. Too soon to tell if durability will be affected by the coil exposure.

Does everything I expect of an electric kettle. This is the second one of these that I have owned. The first one lasted two and a half years before the contacts became so corroded it failed to work. (A definite quality issue!) I'm hoping this one lasts longer. I wish it had been available in my local store rather than having to purchase it on-line.

A Good Kettle

Its a lot bigger than I was expecting. It is 1.7 liters or over 10 cup capacity. Works beautifully.

Just what I wanted

It works fine, but there are a few things about it I don't Iike. First, the cord comes out from the front of the base, so when I face the kettle outwards on the counter,  so the steam doesn't hit the upper cabinets,  it is awkward. Second, the lid isn't easy to open, so when you pull on it, drops of water fly everywhere. Third, you have to smack the lid to make sure it closes properly, and you still get a bit of water pouring out the sides of the spout.

I expected better.

I would not tell anyone to purchase this product at all ! Mine came defective & the only way to get it to heat water was to stand there & hold it on it's base. The whole set up to me looks like the base is bigger than the Kettle for it to work properly !!!! Needless to say this went back....
