Ease Of Use

I have had this for two years.  It makes great rice and I also use it to steam vegetables.  Use it all of the time and is holding up well. I am sorry it took so long to discover how good rice cookers are.  Sometimes the starch comes out of the vent and I discovered if you put  a small piece of cloth on top, it keeps it all contained.

The best there is

I needed a small basic rice cooker.  This one was perfect for a family of 3.  Dependable, easy to use and makes perfect cooked rice.

Keep it simple - Rice Cooker!

Rice turned out ok not entirely fluffy but not clumpy.  Also cooks other grains but have not tried yet.  Will be interesting to see how it does with brown rice.

Works as Advertised

The first rice cooker I owned, I found through a yardsale site and paid only $5 for it.  It did a great job but tore up several months before we moved.  It had been 3 months since our move and I wanted a new rice cooker as I like to fix Chinese food at home and the rice cooker seems to be the fastest way for me.  I have used this 3 times so far and my son's gf has used it a couple of times and it always does a great job!  So easy!  You take the measuring cup that comes with it and measure & add the rice & water to the pot, stir a little, put the lid on it and push the button for it to cook.   That's all there is to it.  It makes plenty of rice and if you want more, just go through the process and cook some more!  LOVE IT!  I would definitely recommend it for a single person, a couple or even a couple with a small child.  If large family though, I think you'd want a larger one to save time.

I use for mainly making rice.  This cooks rice perfectly each time.

Love this rice cooker

I have not bought this nor have I used it but I will tell you what I have learned recently to all you people saying it's not an 8th cup of butter for cup understand this rice is measured by uncooked not cooked if it says it's a 8 cups that means 8 cups of cooked rice not uncook. I hope this clears it up for some folks that being said I got to find a rice cooker not a big Proctor and Silex fan

Rice did not come out fluffy for me, but sticky, and the bottom was overdone (almost crispy). Also, it spattered out the vent hole, A LOT and makes a mess on the counter.
